love, pride are valuable to have for what they are and mean to us, not because they are or not something magical, ethereal or transcendent.

You, and many like you, seem to be under the assumption that if it turned out that we were just complex machines we should somehow be ashamed. By doing this you manage to be unable to be proud of yourself for what you are, since you deem that pride to be contingent on external (and I would say, irrelevant) facts.

It's not necesserily true that physicalism leads to determinism. On quantum level, it seems that events cannot be predicted completely. There will always be uncertainty and Heisenberg. This implies that the fate of universe changes.

I watched a recent documentry on conscience, it seems when your asleep the different areas of the brain dont communicate but are working, eg, the part of the brain that deals with vision, the part that deals with movement etc, when your awake the whole brain is sending and recieving information, this exchange of information is what conscience is.

An atheist is someone that lacks a belief in god, thats it. We are a sum of our memories stored in the brain, no brain no person. Also if your God is all knowing and all powerful then he (according to you) created me knowing i would reject him before he "let" me be born.
