  • If you go to see Terry Allen, or anyone else who writes invincible stories regarding the complexities of life, ( AKA stuff that goes over your head), Shut the hell up for the duration of the set, Pretend you get it, and then go home.

  • The previous comment is outlandish. I can't tell you how annoying it is to go and see a great artist like this, and hear a bunch of people talking or being noisy. I do not go to singer/songwriter shows to listen to the audience make obnoxious noises. If you want to whoop and holler, Go see Pat Green.

  • Great artists in every sense of the word.

  • Great to refind Terry's music online -- thanks to all. Had the great pleasure of being a student of Terry's at Cal State Fresno. He taught us A-R-T.

    very cool.

  • KUT and KGSR in Austin play James McMurtry all de time . . . so, I thought he wuz a STAR! Wait til I give him the bad news at the Continental Wed nite! :-)

  • Just true and clean. Texas soul. Anyone know if he is coming to California anytime soon?

  • He plays a small venue in Santa Cruz occasionaly.Kuumbwa Jazz center has a website you might check.Hope to see him again there soon!

  • Wow, Terry Allen is amazing!!!!!

  • Oh my, one of my fav songs, at one of my fav places on earth -- The Mucky Duck. Try the Maudite on tap; ask for Lizzie as your bartender! BTW, she's an awesome singer and songwriter, too!

  • If country music was played on the radio

Terry would be a star. Also Chris Knight, James McMurtry, Charlie Robeson and....

  • Terry is the man. Very underrated songwriter. Thanks for posting the videos.

  • this mn is badass!!!

  • Great song by Terry Allen.

But Why are the audience so quiet?

They seem like they are in a coma!

  • This was recorded at McGonigel's Mucky Duck in Houston TX, which is a very small venue where everyone sits at tables and dinner is served. Shows there are always intimate, it's great.

  • it's seems to be a lubbock thing, with terry, butch hancock, joe ely, jimmie dale, following after buddy holly & then waylon as always under-rated and neglected. oh well, they've got the lubbock lights. dave in va

  • Brilliant. This man should be a star.

  • For me .. he is a star!
