Yes, the record industry machine sucks but nobody gets it easy - being successful in the industry requires hard work and preparation. No one makes it on talent alone.

And if you've followed her over the years, you'd know it's because she's not willing to compromise certain things about herself as an artist. And she also has a huge underground following of fans. And this young lady is always grinding. I think she's versatile - her songs don't all sound the same. Her debut album was a smash in my opinion & I'll be glad when her next album is released. But, you're entitled to your opinion.

@chanaekel The name of her album is "Complex Simplicity." This song did get some airplay. I heard it alot in Wisconsin when it was released. She was even nominated for an award but I'm not sure it was a major one. The album is really good though.
