First Pirates of the Caribbean was truly amazing and was one of the best movies when it was released. Too bad sequels have been pretty bad. Sparrow's character was perfect in POTC 1, because he wanted to revenge, he had something else that sillyness and crazyness. In sequels, he's just clumsy, goofy.. too much slapstick.

If I had to decide, POTC would be only this movie, no sequels included.

This one is the best obviously but I think that the second one comes in second simply because its awesomeness was evenly spaced. The third one was great and had the best action of any of the films but it was mainly at the end. The fourth one was ok but I didn't really care when Blackbeard died as I did for the other villains. And I'm sorry to say that I almost fell asleep while in the theater but that may have been due to a lack of sleep prior to that.

I then researched the drama (there's no English title, just pinyin). There are no affiliations with anything American/English.
