A great party for relaxation. What the video doesn't show is how they earned it. Ticonderoga was on line for about 40 days each time before they would take a break. OI Div. worked 5 hours on then 5 hours off around the clock for the 40 days. Thanks Mac for the videos. Sure brings back memories plus I still remember most of their names.

I remember going to General Quarters for 72 hours straight and eating Sea rations. Those five hours off duty I also recall making a decision if I should wait in the chow line for an hour to eat, or take a shower and get some sleep. You couldnt do both, there just wasnt enough time.

Someone recorded the audio when we went to General Quarters and the XO was giving the ship updates. I bought a copy of it on Ebay and will try and get it from tape to digital.
