  • I would strongly recommend Dave's book to folks who are looking to put a complete package together for tournament BJJ.

  • does this also do no gi techniques

  • CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THAT SWEEP IS CALLED AT :20. ITS SO FUCKIN CRAZY

  • @TheJeepWheeler its a helicopter armbar

  • Amazing foot sweep!

  • flashy stuff, it basically focuses on mixed martial arts as a whole.

  • hey .. this video is awesome

  • That armbar where he spins him on his foot was too cool

  • Beautiful Judo/Jiu-jitsu, these guys really put it together. It's no revolution however, more people should be listening but there are so many great BJJ guys out there, the thing is M Garcia, Terere, Jacare, Roger, Drysdale, Popovitch don't give their BJJ a pet name and claim a new style, they just do great Jiu-jitsu.

  • Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu, just another example of one martial art leaching off Judo.

  • @patio87 Leaching off Judo? Dave and Dan Camarillo have studied Judo since they were kids. Their dad was grooming them to be Olympic champions. Dave got injured and decided to try BJJ after seeing Royce Gracie. Guerilla JJ IS Judo. It's BJJ too. It mixes the superior technical stand-up of Judo with the finesse of BJJ's ground game. As far as the Gi grappling goes, Guerilla JiuJitsu will help your Newaza as a Judo player and/or help your Tachiwaza as a BJJ player. Do your research!

  • Lol looks like the japanese jiu jitsu I am practicing :P

  • Anyone know if this book is any good? Hit me up on my page.

    Thanks.

  • @TheMustardChoke It is a damn good book

  • Not BBJ. All Judo

  • @jaemannen what the fucks bbj?

  • ya go john simons!! hes my third cousin =)

  • .

22 the craziest Tomi nage ever

  • I think Dave's system is the best. I'm a brown belt in Judo and I've just started in Jiu Jitsu (white belt). When watching Jiu Jitsu tourneys I see alot of people stiff arming with their heads down or trying to grab a leg. This is the best time to throw a Jiu Jitsu flat on his back. I don't know why so many schools don't apply Judo in their techniques.

  • @braddahjosh808 beats the hell out of me. they are SCARED? nobody wants to step out of comfort zone and learn the "ARTS" for what they are.

  • @braddahjosh808 It's because of ignorance in regard to the stand up game in the gi, not training stand up regularly enough, and relying on moves taught by instructors who have limited knowledge in that aspect of the game.

  • @braddahjosh808 probably because of the starting position of many schools, being bent forward, hipsbacks, to avoid throws like that. many coaches also tell the fighters to not risk getting thrown flat on the back and get controlled by jumping the guard and weighing on yout oponent to drag him on the ground in your guard.

  • you should not be that surprised !! cos BJJ is an extended JUDO Ne-Waza or ground technique.... and of corse Dan Camarillo is very good athlete, no one could promote it beter ! I enjoy the book 'Guerilla jiujitsu" !

  • HOLY SHIT! I've never seen Judo & BJJ blended in so well together! Some of them look like the high wire flying attacks in Kung Fu movies except they end in submission!

  • The video didnt really showcase any BJJ, that was all judo...

  • I love the Judo Throws with the BJJ Ground Work it is awesome if I where ever to choose between training with Eddie Bravo or David Camarillo I would train with David any day I just love his BJJ and Judo mix and he uses alot of the basics too

  • BJJ ground work? there wasnt any pure BJJ in the video, it was all judo techniques

  • Judo and Jiu Jitsu are two sides of the same coin and Camarillo JJ is like the perfect fusion of the two.

  • uh sorry I saw the video and there were throws (judo), armbar and flying armbar (judo)

  • judo techniques require jiu jitsu, and jiu jitsu techniques somewhat rely on judo.

  • @maxbigwood what planet are you on? bjj is not just groundwork.. and judo is not just throws.. .

@algebrodadio well said. Cjj blends the 2 perfectly.

  • that second throw->submission move had my jaw on the floor, holy shit

  • holy shit, man, i wanna learn t hat, throw to submission

  • its a helicopter armbar..my teacher gets me in that shitall the time lol

  • damn hehe

  • HEll yes..I was like Imagine pulling that off in a comp ....!!!!! I would be promoted to BROWN belt in instant LOL

  • Just bought the book less than a week ago and am LOVING it. Impact Control Positions are the best and most intelligent concepts I have ever heard of. Thank you Dave!

  • whenever dave demonstrates his moves they look unbelievably smooth

  • Dave is the man!!!

  • that was shit hot! hard core judo mixed with BJJ.

  • obviously you dont know much about dave camarillo i have had the distinct privelage of meeting him and watching him train and let me tell you he can do it at live speed

  • That Tomoe Nage to Juji gatame was fucking NICE!!!

  • Damn! That was smooth, wasn't it?

  • It was fucking awesome.

  • that shit was insane!

  • Hi Dave, not sure if you're reading this but if you made a companion book where you took BJJ and applied it for Judo (kinda like a Guerrilla Jiujitsu for the judoka) I would buy it up in a heartbeat.

  • Me too.

  • Count me in too.

  • Incredible technique. You and your brother are a huge inspiration. Keep up the good work at AKA!

  • I just want to say thanks too. Your book, and cross training Judo has really helped my Gi grappling game. Made it more complete as it were.

  • I feel bad for any of Dave's uke's - they take a beating - lol.

    Good stuff!

  • its his brother and i dont think that he has problem

  • Its actually Travis Stevens. At the time he was training with me at the American Kickboxing Academy.

  • ok,i really like your book helped my newaza

  • I am looking forward to your seminar.

  • No doubt that flying armbar at :28 was sick.

  • I love the book. Very well put together and by far the most readable beginners text for judo that I have found. Just the section on footwork was worth the price of the book for me. I really don't see myself doing any of the flying attacks but you never know.

  • :28 so dope

  • thats so sick. I like that you added judo to jiu jitsu looks effective

  • is that travis as your uke?
