There is something in this song... when Atsushi sings the lines 'kono yo wa yume da anata to yume de aeru' and 'anata wo omoeba yume ni yume ni yume miru' aaand 'tobira wa hiraku sekai wa hiraku' I feel like... I don't know, as if something was awaking in me, as if I was lighter and almost could fly. No matter how many times I get to listen to this song, the effect remains the same.

And the ending, where Atsushi's voice is doubled... it's just mesmerizing.

It's pretty obvious that he isn't lip-syncing. Yes there is a recording of the song going on, but his actual vocals are a lot louder than the recording itself. He's singing along with it and yes, he is stopping to hear the crowd sing. Atsushi Sakurai is very talented (along with the rest of the band) and he's VERY good at what he does.

Este es un live para su club de fans Fish Tank, del año 2007, solo por la linea del bajo, bateria e incluso la 1era guitarra (Imai) se saca al toque que no es playback como muchos siguen mencionando, y un gringo puso por ahi que ya que su voz sale como fondo en el coro del final es playback, tómense la molestia de escuchar el tema del single, que es donde esa voz es sólo ua pista de ECO.

A lot of their songs live have sections with playback so that he can harmonize with himself. After all, who is perfect enough to harmonize with him so well? (Though Imai is wonderful!) You can see what I'm talking about starting at 4:00 when his self-harmony starts going. He just takes the mic down so that everyone can hear the harmony. I'm not exactly sure why.

It's called vocal harmonization. LOL He stopped singing so he could hear the crowd sing. It just so happens that during those parts, his harmonized back up vocals play.

I don't think he's a fraud. There's playback, but for this song he's singing on top of that to create that echo effect (I suck at music terminology) thats on the studio version. It's just that he gets the audience to participate instead of singing over it.
