just picked up the keys to a '86 five door in English White - automatic, velour seats and only 36thousand miles from new - i bought it from the original owner in the UK! wonderful car - it's the first v8 in my collection and i love how it goes, stops and sounds! first Gen RR's are the best!!

I am 15 and looking to buy a car.

I live in Australia,(but i'm a pom) and i fell in love with the Range Rover Classic. I really want to buy one. I Was originally planning on getting a Land Rover Series 2a. But i saw the range rover with its air suspension and comfort and seemingly more offroad ability. I was going to buy one for a cheap price, and fix it up with my dad until i have my licence. I am torn between the Range Rover and The Land rover series 2A. WHICH ONE??

I have to agree they are great looking and one of the best off roaders I have ever owned for ability... my problem is that I seem to be able to break mine a lot and working on em is a pain in the arse (I think they could have been better designed in that respect)

Only one other 4x4 comes close to this and its the Defender form LR themselves. The closest you could get to a Range Rover from a company other than LR is the Toyota LandCruiser which doesnt really cut it.

Hatte zwei davon. Einen 75er und 'nen 79er. vermisse immer noch das Fahrverhalten auf die Strasse und die Geländefähigkeiten. Für mich waren die, die besten GW mit den ich auch locker 130 auf Autobahn fahren könnte. Nur ich denke von den musste man zwei haben, weil immer einer in Werkstatt war.

1970 - 1994 RR Classic, 1987 they began importing them to the US. They were ahead of everyone else.
