5 hrs 50' is very fast for a JFK to LHR flight. I have flown this route a lot of times but never under 6 hrs.

Sandy Mitchell is one of the best captains we have and a generally fantastic guy... it is always a joy to fly with him and he is really genuine. Great guy to share a beer with downroute. Derek is also a great CSD

I went from LHR to JFK and back. Well our flight back from JFK beleive it or not was 4 hours and 50 minutes. Due to a very strong tailwind. I meen very strong. Which is more than I can say when I went to Las Vegas in one of British Airways washing machines. A dropping to bits washing machine. A Boeing 777. They're shit. But the 747''s are the best. They actually look better than the A380's. The body shape of the 747 is probably the most recognisable shape of aircraft. Along with the Concorde.

Yeah, absolutely, BA announcement is great, seats and foods are much better than of other carriers. I used to fly from Tripoli to Narita via Heathrow for almost 15 times during the last 7 years, I used to buy business class tickets, so nice!!!. I compared its services to other 12 carriers and all less quality than BA, incomparably BA service is cool. Of course you have pay for that comfort too...

yes, it was economy (world traveller) and very comfortable. last month i flew Lufthansa (Airbus 330-300 and 340-300) and was very dissapointed. small legroom, uncomfortable seats, some really nasty fligt attendants...

it was British Airways captain Sandy Mitchell. a very experienced pilot. i saw him when he boarded his aircraft at JFK and the next morning in the airport-train at London Heathrow. He looks just like you think a pilot should look like.

There are many Female Pilots flying long-haul not just for BA, but for airlines across the world. Many of them are captains, infact, the first BA 747 to arrive at Terminal 5 at Heathrow had a Female Captain!
