  • nooo! DX

  • yeah thats right man, cos im always attackin people cos im mistakin them for food, you fuckin woofter

  • Hahahaha owned!

  • "Nearly extinct? Wow, such ignorance.

I was fishing off Cape Cod last year and we saw 10 of them in one day."

It's too bad animals of the same species tend to hang around the same environments and thus would be encountered more frequently within these. If you really want to challenge the idea that they are endangered, give actual statistics on objective numbers, not personal anecdotes that are based on a faulty use of induction.

  • If you're saying they're not nearly extinct based on your 10 in one day day experience then you're the one who is ignorant. You could be looking at 50% of all that is left. Not probable or even possible but you get the idea.

    Im on either side btw!

  • Basking Sharks are the 2nd largest shark in the world, 1st being the Whale Shark

  • erm, no.

    1st Whale Shark

    2nd Basking Shark

  • Lol, isn't that exactly what he said?

  • kool.

  • they are harmless if you leave them alone.

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • Nearly extinct? Wow, such ignorance.

I was fishing off Cape Cod last year and we saw 10 of them in one day.

  • That's one huge Goldfish there!

  • how could u not c it??

  • ahah wtf is this guy on

  • Well it is a basking shark its scientific name is Cetorhinus Maximus, they are non agressive and feed off plankton blooms and jellyfish of the UK (common in Cornwall)Well they can HURT people whne people touch them they get an abrassion and also they have sunk hunter boats.

  • im realy good at facts about animals i say that the shark at cornwall is a baskin shark if mour come where doombed but only if its a great white

  • It's only a sterotype that a great white will attack at first site, they normally dont attack unles they mistake you for food, just like you would if you mistake something for food

  • I mistook a shoe for a can of spaghetti the other week. Luckily I only ate half of it!

  • Thats just be a idiot

  • me fail english? thats unpossible!

  • O_o

  • try more like 13.7 meters

  • As far as I know, the largest shark that'd attack a human is a great white and they tend to only be 7 metres. Basking sharks I think can grow up to ten metres.

  • Yeah, basking shark. Completely non-agressive and nearly extinct thanks to the Canadian Fishery and the like. They don't even have teeth for christ's sake.

  • I'd hate to be in the water with that swimming around!

  • i would be pooping myself!

  • nice shots-we see them now and then on Jefferies Ledge north of the Cape. It is thrilling when one comes up under boat and you realize the shark is bigger than your boat!

  • im gonna upload my video with the mega mouth shark these 2 divers were diving with

  • yup its a basker

  • Even if they are gentle giants i'd still be terrified to see that huge mouth coming towards me.

  • Big fucking shark

  • I think it is a basking shark (the wide head kind of says it).

  • yeah, basking shark... now I remember. Thanks :)
