I grew up with the Gamecube(Born in 1996, was too young to know the N64 well), first game I played: Melee. I didn't care about graphics then, and I still don't. Heck, I didn't even grow up with it, and I STILL think some of the best games ever were on the N64. Just look at this masterpiece, Ocarina of Time, Pokemon Stadium, Banjo-Kazooie, Kirby 64, Mario 64, Starfox 64, Donkey Kong 64, the list goes on and on. Don't judge a game on graphics, base it on gameplay...

@Flash11I19 I haven't played Other M, but Metroid Prime is awesome. A fine game to replace the gaping whole of nothing after the masterpiece that was Super Metroid(I mean, who would want the series to just die then?) ;)

I don't care what anyone says about Melee or Brawl, this game is still awesome I've been playing it so much the last few weekends when I have time and still DOMINATE, anyone who dislikes this game and says it sucks just wasn't there to play it and therefore you aren't a smasher. Hyrule Castle, Saffron City, Sector Z, Planet Zebes, Dreamland, bring them back!!! :D

when i was a kid i never even thought once to myself "oh wow these graphics look good i should keep playing to see more of just graphics"i thought to myself when playing games "omg this gameplay is so fun and creative i want to keep playing so i can see more of this fun and creativity."sadly this isnt the case now.in fact its completely opposite.

Graphics don't make a game,gameplay does.

the N64 had the best games with GREAT gameplay,and stories...nowadays kids don't like a game because they base it soley on the graphics,which is sad,considering that they might pass up a potentialy Great Game,only to toss it away because it doesn't have halo,or skyrim graphics...

@seanGthegodcharged51 Well I never said you were a kid I was basing my statement off what these little 10 years keep saying on youtube. Of course the newer games get higher scores but back then no one cared about graphics because they hadn't even been fully discovered yet. Now they do and you have to have the graphics. I gurantee if they made a Super Mario Galaxy 3 and Super Mario 64 Wii the SM64 would sell more

@seanGthegodcharged51 Are you high? Super Mario Galaxy 2 has a great storyline, but it pales in comparison to Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy, and the music in the latter two is far superior. These little Wii kids will complain to those of us who grew up on the SNES/N64/Gamecube about nostalgia taking over, when albeit partially the case, isn't entirely true. 90's to early 2000's games were just more creative and better thought out, and I gurantee when they're 15-20 theyll think the same

@phlyersphan25 let's not shoot that idea down yet, almost all of the Mega Man games have been for Nintendo consoles. I think Megaman is a very likely candidate for the next game. and Snake is a konami character, and the MGS games are by no means exclusive to Nintendo.
