Unreleased game: Star Fox 2 (part 1/7)

I like the concept of moving around in real-time on the Lylat map, it adds a major strategy aspect...I got Starfox Command for the DS years ago and was happy to find that they recycled that there. :)

I love the interceptor. every playthrough i go miyu/fay, the ridiculous charge time on laser bombs make them way too easy .

that and you can upgrade them to get the health regeneration thing the bombers have

Its looks silly to me, too Japanese, too fast and task based. It would never have sold like to first one, its not much different sound wise and as I said I don't think much of the new gameplay style.

It must be hard to make a sequel. Still that's not what thee interest is about here.

This game has a history.

a Beta Version was Smuggled and was later put on the internet, it was a beta with a lot of bugs, but a team of translators aside from translating the game they were nice enough to take out all the game's bugs and not to mention hiding all the debug functions that were clearly visible when playing the rom

Actually this game was going to be released in 1995 almost a half a year away from the Nintendo 64 but because of SF64 being released that close with the N64 and the game it was discarded and starfox 64 and belive it or not star fox 64 copied almost 30% like star wolf made there first apperance on SF2 along with alrange mode and some of its vehicles. Im doing a little history on this game right now its really interesting.

Great game for the SNES by the way.Nintendo made Starfox 2 in 1995 and scraped it for the N64 coming, great move Nintendo that was just a waste of time!! Wonder how did that ROM got leaked onto the net?

A lot of beta carts just get lucky and slip out of the company's grasp for one reason or another. For example, Mother was apparently already translated and localized, but they never released it. We still got Mother 2 as Earthbound though.

to think that miyamoto wanted to make mario 64 for the snes. they scraped that and moved it to the 64. this is probably the last game to show what will eventually come.

they should let us have this on the wii. i mean, they got sin and punishment on there now, so why not make this in english and do it too?

I'm using ZSNES 1.50 at the time of playing this, and I got the translation patch for the rom from aeon genesis. really, just google aeon genesis and it's the first result.. at least for me.

Ahhhh. So that's why your aim's so shabby. Keyboard is it? You should get a controller that's compatible with your PC. On the keyboard, I had to use really uncomfortable controls just to be able to control the walker.
