Would it be possible to get a small sample of this glass? Im designing a product that incorporates this technology and need a small amount to demonstrate to a client
Glass fogs up once opened, making glass see thru glass unusable for few minutes, and lack of door shelves doesn't use space effectively. Otherwise, cool concept!
@PhuNguyen88 By not Opening the door to view inside, you save energy on one of the highest users of power and its very cool cutting edge technology too!
@ElmontGlassCo You could just put a simple glass door and still see what's inside. Using the switcable glass as a door for a fridge is not energy efficient since switching the liquid crystals on and off requires energy. This is definitely good for privacy windows but am not so sure about its efficiency for fridge doors

Why not make it permantly transparant? Or does the glass insolate better when it's activated?

the switch on the side throws me off why not add a touch-sensitive switch so all you have to do is place one hand on it.

Wouldn't it take more to cool since you don't have the thick insulating door?
