Hi! I have a couple questions for you. First off, great tone/playing! I was wondering where you set your pickup height on the Fralin Blues Specials. I have them in an '87 Strat Plus and I was wondering where I should set them and if you have yours closer to the strings or closer to the pickguard. I also was wondering where you typically set your settings on your Twin Reverb from another video (I have a TR also). Thanks for any and all information! :)
@gibsonguitar1988 Thanks for the comments :) I have no clue - it was a guitar I borrowed from a friend. I don't remember them being high or low - nothing stands out in my mind. Sorry! As for my Twin settings, that varies from room to room, guitar to guitar! I like a fairly deep/low tone with deep mids so I usually crank the bass up and tone the treble down more than others might. I also generally play on the neck pickup and sometimes turn the tone knob down to around 5-7.
@ScottWhigham Thanks!!!! I'm a rock player with a very blues based style (think Joe Walsh style) and I love my Twin but I'm always trying new stuff with all sorts of guitars! :) Subscribed! :)
Nice demo. I got one of these from John about a month ago. Absolutely outstanding... He's also working on a wah right now as well, so when he releases that you should demo that too!
@ThemusicsoveR Yeah, it's a great pedal. I'm interested in hearing the wah myself. I love the sound of a nice wah but sheesh - having to time my foot movement to my hands is tough!!!
@rhye999 Well, that would be tough since I sold it three days ago!!! :D I had to borrow my friend Kevin's strat for this video. I loved that EJ strat - it was awesome - but my CS-356 was just getting all my playing time and the EJ sat around collecting dust for a few months!
are you Jeff bridges hidden son?lol nice tone and playing dude

@JonathanMaridjan Thanks! It's more of a "natural finish w/ a beige-ish glaze", I think.

NIce man! Did you set up a new "room"?
jayers000 1 year ago
@jayers000 I did! It's a dedicated studio - acoustic panels, the whole deal. You should come out and record!
