thanks dude. i am hoping to get an ar-15 soon and don't want to look/feel like a dumbass wondering how to disassemble it. is that one of those old-style CAR-15's?
@bigblackguy666 wow sounds like u been watching to many YouTube videos. It's charging handle, and I doubt anybody field strips down to the hand guards. U know nothing just watch more videos and keep playing cod.
man, im glad to finally find a video where someone knows what the hell their talking about, i found your video looking for easier ways to clean the lugs, i reckon an old tooth brush is as good as youll get though

First mistake, charging handle? Its called a cocking handle.
Collpasing it, theres this rubber piece put into it thats meant to keep the rifle together more sturdy, but its not necessarily whatsoever.
Also, they're called THE UPPER AND LOWER RECEIVERS.
Also, you forgot to remove the buffer spring and the handgaurds.
And you fucked up royally on the function test. You never even checked for the Safety or the Fully Automatic selectors to see if they're functioning properly, jesus.
@BigBlackGuy666 haha, retard, 1. ITS A CHARGING HANDLE!!! dont talk shit about stuff you dont know about, 2-automatic selectors? i doubt he spent 15,000 dollards on a rifle, its a civi semi-auto
Someone told me the soldiers during vietnam would carry an extra entire bolt assembly so that if something happened in the jungle, they would just cycle through a brand new bolt assembly and not try to fumble around with a firing pin and retaining pins? correct or not? Also, how would the clear a stuck broken case in the chamber? The AK-47's chamber seems more accessible ( so when we clear a jam once every 43 years or so... we can get to it easily :) Thanks Everyone, good video!
@stevenabb first off i have heard that they do carry extra bolt assembly but not all its kinda personal preference my uncle did but his friend didnt. As for the clearing a broken case i am not sure about that one sorry i dont know about that one never had a case break on me in my AR 15 so when it happens i will find out lol
I was cleaning my ar15 recently and the spring that holds the metal piece with a small nipple to keep the bumper in place in the rifle butt popped out. The spring seems to be intact and i re-assembled and it seems to be functioning fine. I was wondering if that spring is suppose to be anchored in or do you think the weapon should be checked out by a pro before firing? Thanks!
@CMgunguy44 My AR has an ambi select fire (semi-auto, burst, and full-auto) but it doesn't fire burst or full, I think its because I don't have a hydrolic buffer ... do I ABSOLUTELY need one to fire auto and burst? Because the only one I could find was at this store that over-prices drammaticly and I don't have much to spend freely right now.
Great vid, Thank you

Nice vid. Good reminder about the direction of the ejector since it can easily be inserted in the wrong orientation.

in order to thoroughly clean your rifle you need to take the upper and lower completely apart. don't cut corners like this guy. =]
