This fight was a little difficult for me. I sent out my Samurott, and used Hydro Pump, thanks to critical hit. When he sent out his Hydreigon, I switched out to my Excadrill, and got fucked by a Fire Blast...BUT!!! My Excadrill's Focus Sash saved me. I used Earthquake, and killed that bastard in one hit. The rest of his team wasn't too bad for me...Until that stupid Bisharp keeps using Metal Sound!!! But...after 15 minutes of him using Metal Burst & Full Restores...I finally won.

Since I was unfamiliar with the pokemon or their names, I was 100% clueless as to what to do when it told me he was sending out a new pokemon. I ended up beating him, but seriously. It could not have been harder to figure out what type Hydreigon was.

Hydreigon is a representation of a hydra, which are normally aquatic, three headed, and draconic. Surf is available hence being aquatic. Fire Blast is available because it's a dragon, rather typical move. Focus Blast is probably because Nintendo likes giving pseud-legendaries powerful attacks. Dragon Pulse is self-explanatory like Fire Blast, being a dragon and whatnot.

I'm just saying the design of a lot of the pokemon seems inconsistent.

Although it does have a design based off of a hydra, Nintendo probably didn't want to directly rip-off the creature. Typing and move wise, since Hydreigon's base stats tell it's a pseudo-legendary, I think it would be appropriate to have a typing and learnset that allows better coverage and type resistances than poison. As for water, it's probably to keep it from outdoing the only water/dragon type, Kingdra. It would be similar to Salamence outclassing Dragonite.

I don't remember struggling against Ghetsis, even at Hydreigon. But I didn't like this part of the Plasma Castle confrontation as much. The music is meh to me and it just didn't give me the feel like the rest of the scene. Then once Ghetsis was gone, it was going back to what I felt was more in tune with N saying his last words.

oh, that took me a while....

I beat victory road with nothing but a lv 49 Haxorus and a 48 Darmanitan. I sweep the E4 with those two (no EV training neither) and some lv 38-40s. Beat N (barely) and then comes this guy. Hydregion wipes out entire team. restart at Zekrom like 4 times. Eventually i spammed dragon dance and hyper potions fighting cofagrigus, then proceeded to take out his entire team with only Haxorus.

This last time I fought Hydreigon, I used a Scrafty (evolved Fighting/Dark guy). Tried to use a High Jump Kick, dragon attcked first, and then my health shot way down (luckily I had 6 hp left). Next problem, actually hitting with the kick so I don't knock myself out. Luckily, I I actually hit with the kick and instant KO.
