Lovato is just a step behind the elite in BJJ. A very good player and is usually ends up on the podium, but he comes up a little short against the best like Braulio, Roger ( but so does everyone but Xande and Jacare), and Galvao.

Technically Jacare beat Roger twice. The next year he won the absolute again. It was a controversial victory but Jaca is a 2x absolute champion. And those 2 championship victories came over Roger.
