He was also cxritical of the ref when Celtic were awarded a penalty against Motherwell. When he was shown the footage, of a clear foul he admitted it was a penalty, but wondered if it would have been awarded at the other end. Ten minutes later he was on the radio saying how it was never a penalty.

I don't have problem with Brown, or anyone, reacting angrily when decisions go against them, football is a passionate game, but the press would have wanted Lennon hung for this.

If he knew anything about Aberdeen he'd be aware that Rogne was sent off against them for a foul outside the penalty area last season.

The decision to award a red card at Pittodrie was correct. The Aberdeen player denied Brown a clear goalscoring opportunity.
