A note on the filming. I helped shoot part of the video. We know the footage is rough. There was a lot going on at the time and catching it all on video was kind of a secondary notion. We figured the money shot was worth the rest. Thanks for watching. No I don't personally know Tom.
My uncle Tom is majorly blessed to keep gettin' huge catches and to still have his life and the lives of his crew members :) do you personally know them? I live in Oregon so I don't really get to see any of my AK family, sadly. Love the videos you have though. AWESOME.
Note to camera man: Slow down. Instead of swinging the camera wildly back and forth, do it slowly. When pausing on something you want to show, actually pause, for more then a nano second. Just saying.
Didn't watch the whole video because the camera work was annoying and I immediately muted the music but just watching the first 90 seconds it seems to me that there are some pretty dumb regulations at work causing this mess.
Yes because a dangerous close quarters race with expensive equipment and lives is such a great idea. Who in their right mind would ever criticize such a thing.
Its a way of life. And those who do it LOVE it. Not to mention make a pretty good living. Be as sarcastic as you want. You're waaaay out of your element.
it's all a great testament to their skills at fishing with a little luck to boot. Trying to lay you line and beat out the other boats as the fish come in, while hoping your float doesn't pass that line in the bay that the coast guard set as a boundary
Friggin awesome footage watching the whole thing as it happened. Everyone sure was lucky to not have been hurt. Good thing no one was on the starboard side of the net pile. If someone was they must have had wings on their feet. So glad she righted herself... with help. No one truly understands the feeling of losing or almost losing your boat until it happens to you. We can imagine what it's like, but it's not the same. Grace was definitely infinite with this event.
Considering the price is next to nothing you should change the music to something more humiliating.This is more comical than thrilling.Like "Three Blind Mice" or something more descriptive.Hahaha!Crew shares could be in the negative after expenses.LOL!

@kmg501 you're kind of a jerk - and obviously not a fisherman.

You got some good shots, but I already used this song in a herring video. Come on, be a little more creative.
