  • This is important stuff and I agree with the content but this guy is a boring narrator and I agree the script is dull.

  • Great story, bad script. There was a chance to make 3 documentaries out of this, the burning fields, the polluted salton sea and the outlaws living in imperial valley. Too bad it was all packed in 1...

  • There is a lot of annoying background noise in this film, including the music

  • this is one of the main reasons why i became a vegan.

  • So let's cut to the chase. What will end the destruction of our environment from mass producing animals for meat?? Go Vegan! Animals don't want to die and are not food. Plants are food. Put down the Bible and think for yourself! The only reason people eat meat is because someone who's making $ from animal slavery told you meat is food. Fact: meat and dairy cause cancer and production of them are killing EVERYTHING! watch Forks Over Knives and Earthlings! It will save earth animals & ur life.

  • @liesereisinger Actually, you don't have to put down the Bible. When I became a Vegan, in very first chapter of the Bible I found the answer:

    Genesis 1:29:

"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat"

  • MUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

  • KOKOROKOK!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you, america, that you brought unregulated capitalism to this world......

  • I think anything can be spiritual, including science, it is rather the heart behind the work, or in other words, the intention as well as personal insight of the person doing what ever that qualifies as spiritual or not. Raising animals for food can be spiritual and intelligent and also done with love, or it can be done as it is in these films, with greed as intention, which is lack of spirituality to me, unaware, afraid and then becomes very unsafe for all involved, especially the animals.

  • @electricfemale americans are eating pollution. intake waste output waste of waste, how low is that? Stupid americans have so much pride for no reason, they don't even want to face the fact that they are eating animals that have eaten their own waste...ewww filthy... you are what you eat whether you like it or not, and no matter how much you try to explain it away, it still doesn't change the fact that americans are eating pollution.

  • Most people are very far removed from the food they eat, and this kind of thing can happen without anyone knowing. Chickens for example are cloned and we can now grow a huge chicken in 6 weeks, so that means lots more in a short amount of time, more profits. Nothing spiritual, just survival thinking.

  • @electricfemale science and spirituality are two different things:

    ehow.com/how_4795983_make-blue-roses.html

  • @electricfemale electricfemale You are out of your mind. Put the bong down, and put the"Cool Thoughts For Dummies" book away

  • i agree, american people are stupid and have no moral values, it's probably because the eat pollution.. you are what you eat!

  • @asdf99003 what perfect country are you from ? At least we have the balls to make a movie about it. Does yours ?

  • @raveklaw Would it make any difference that americans are eating their own waste? You just want to find out where I'm from so you can verbally assault me. Someone should do something about internet predators like you. I don't feel safe in the presence of idiots like you.

  • If everyone was on the Gerson therapy this would not happen!

  • This may just be my naive and ill-informed opinion but how about we try this: Make a move towards small, ACTUALLY free range, organic, field roaming style of farming. Spend more time and money making high quality meat. Sell meat at higher price. People can afford to buy less meat and therefore eat a more vegetable and whole grain based diet. Farmers still get money. Less impact on the environment. Healthier people with diets lower in saturated fats. Does this all seem so crazy?

  • nasty world

  • i hate the usa, i hate it with all my heart, its just a evil place

  • @ukusapillage its not as bad as you think..

  • @ukusapillage you're not alone ;)

  • @ukusapillage it is everywhere.not only the USA dummy

  • @ukusapillage It's never the country you should dislike but the people and not just the people, the people with power and privileges that they abuse.

  • And Charles Manson is still in prison.......Why aren't people giving a shit?

  • I wanna steak.

  • Fucking hell.....

  • Thanks for uploading this to Youtube. What a great film, its a shame more people are not aware 1st of this film, and 2nd, whats really going on.

  • This is the capitalism, baby!!

  • @unicaisabelita Yup! It's all to make more money. WAKE UP AMERICA! I'm sharing this. I advise anyone else to do so as well.

  • Only after the last tree has been cut down

Only after the last river has been poisoned

Only after the last fish has been caught

Only then will you find you cannot eat money

    -- Cree prophecy

  • Yes i understand they call them selves the UNITED STATES, but being united does nothing other than destroy the natural resources we need.. this is a famous saying i believe in, and i think many other will aswhell....

Only after the last tree has been cut down

Only after the last river has been poisoned

Only after the last fish has been caught

Only then will you find you cannot eat money

    -- Cree prophecy

  • Any chance you can add a thumbnail picture to this link? I want to post it in Facebook, but its much better with an accompanying picture!

  • very good

  • we are only fucking ourselves more and more

  • organic farming and sustainability is the only way to solve this problem. communities growing enough produce and enough agriculture ONLY to support that town. not to sell or make money from, and for every tree you cut down you have to plant 5 . each community within a city should be able to support them selves, we cant leave it under the hands of huge corporations providing the food for thousands of people, because as you can see this has a huge inpact on out environment. Fuck Agro Corporations!

  • @McGrimeyLimey Sustainability yes, organic farming no. Each community doesn't have the capacity to support itself. With organic farming even less so. Thus trade is involved. In modern society trade means money. Besides if each community is out to fend for itself why bother calling ourselves the "United" states?

  • Hydraulic Fracturing for Nat. Gas is polluting the water table in central US ,

and then you see this . It's the opposite of what the model this country was started under . The business Tzars have taken over and Corporate America won't stop until exhaustion of everything , OK gotta go to Walmart now , and help The Chinese Economy .

  • It's great that this brought to light but i suspect there will be several years of wrangling through the courts before anything gets resolved. Maybe it will be 2 late.

My heart goes out to those parents whose children were effected and died as a result of this.

To a certain extent I agree about the democracy not being a spectator sport quote but if all the levers on power are removed then there's not much point in voting for something that has already been decided behind closed doors...

  • the very people elected to protect us are killing us to feed their insatiable greed for power and money. Disgusting. Thank you so much for this insightful informative film, our world needs more people like you.

  • EAT MEAT REPEAT.

  • The movie stopped at bird flu around 53 min in and continues not to work someone has to let me know does the full video play or not.

  • US population collectively are solely responsible for the collapse of their nation in various sectors-as the presentator told in the end "democracy isnt a spectator sport"..citizens need to be actively engaged in voting for right people to entact right policies for their nation,as a whole."

  • The USA is all lobbying and corrupt politicians. Congress is a complete joke.

Tha US will go down the tube, no clean water, no money, poverty.

    Hasta la vista.

  • wake up AMERICA

  • Owners & CEO's of Tyson and other offenders should be jailed inside a wire cage and set that cage in the middle of one of the fields that are being dusted with the arsenic laden manure until they develope cancer like those poor kids that died from it.

  • why arent they throwing the shit (pun intended) into the desert. It could reducce wind erosion and hold moisture longer.

  • why wont this play?

  • Simply Boycot the products ....

  • good thing we be wont be there when the time comes. cause we have Jesus as our savior. you poor bastards..

  • 1st the need is to make the land of factory farm with lining like being used in landfill or ash dyke so the leeching can be preventing into soil or ground water, 2nd the civil structure of factory farm be so designed such tht the run off water due to rainfall, other needed to be collected and not sent into water streams. The final use of litter and other run off waste can then by used in electricity generation using gasification technology for capitve power load and sold to local power discom.

  • Thank you for freely sharing this with the You Tube community. Obviously you're more geniunely concerned about making others aware about this issue than trying to squeeze out every cent of profit from this incredibily informative documentary. Let's make it viral and attract more public interest.

  • Thank you sooo much for providing us with knowledge that gives us the power to make better choices in our lives. The information provided was absolutely horrific and there is NO way that I will ever bring this type of frankenstein anywhere near a plate in my home.

  • only 16K views - pathetic ... how was this society taught not to care?

  • IF THE GOVERNMENT MAYBE STOPPED POKING THEIR NOSES IN ENGAGING IN WARS AROUND THE WORLD MAYBE AND THAT IS REALLY A MAYBE THEY WILL SEE THAT THE WORLD NEEDS QUICK MORAL THINKING INSTEAD OF DESTRUCTION.GOVERNMENTS AND CORRUPT BUISNESS MEN AND THIS BACKWARGD THINKING SHOULD BE BOYCOTTED TOTALLY. ARE WE THE PEOPLE UP TO IT ? I AM

  • If someone threw liquid manure on those people why didn't they call the police?? I mean that has to be illegal. How could someone do that? I can't even begin to comprehend that, and then just to stand there and laugh at those people is beyond evil.

  • all these places should have been shut down long ago-all life is sacred

  • Oooh, oooh, I know the answer! Stop eating meat. It's not like we need it, and it's certainly NOT good for us. Plant based is what humans were, and are intended to survive on. If you disagree with me, that's OK, I don't care, you'll probably just wind up with atherosclerosis or type 2 diabetes soon anyway :)

  • this documentary is a must watch .what was said at the end sum's up the whole thing,' Only after the last tree is cut down, the last of the water poisoned,The last animals destroyed..... Only then will you realize you cannot eat money.' The Cree Indian Prophecy

  • One of the Most Informative, Powerful, Moral, & Influential videos on the Internet Period! I love the term "Vote with our Forks"! Boycott I agree 1000%! We DO have the POWER over these so-called Fortune 500 Companies/Corporations, because the very thing that creates their Wealth...has also created their WEAKNESS...GREED!!!

  • There's nothing wrong with eating (a moderate amount) of meat. The question is of source -- buy local, buy sustainable, buy from farmers you know, and ask about their practices.

  • We all have to eat, but come on. Production without degradation? I will continue hoping there is a chance.

  • Boycott all the factory farms in the states

  • @Opus4bards You really can't. If you go to the market, literally all the meat is from mega farms.

  • Boycott

  • "even the canadians..." lol wtf

oh and i ate a hotdog while watching this

  • @drinkycrow67 Eww...

  • I think its either A) hunt you own food or B) go meat free. We just can't keep building these polluting factory farms its detrimental to the planet, people and the animals.

  • Actually this wouldn't be a problem if corporations were not given so much leeway, this is not just happening in the food industry, but in every one. The worlds resources and tolerance for us will soon diminish and the oblivious will wonder what caused the hell bestowed upon them.. corporations, this is not a democracy, this is a corporatocracy, this is a fascist state.

  • @organicalistic A fascist state?

    You are kidding right?

Go live in Burma,The Sudan or North Korea and then come back and tell me we live in a fascist state.

What an insult to people who are actually suffering and would risk their lives to come here and be grateful of what they have.

Don't get me wrong. Our government does have many faults, but there has never been a perfect system to run a country.

  • @societyofsin Well actually. Fascism is the united force of big business and the government so that pretty much describes the USA. Or all European countries for that matter... (I am not a communist btw so don't try that one on me as you would only make a fool out of yourself).

  • A meat serving= a deck of cards= 2 a day. Raise some rabbits.

  • kids in the beginning is creepy as hell

  • All this is simply symptom of a greater problem. We shouldn't be eating so much meat in the first place. In Vedic culture, meat-eaters were societal outcasts.

  • Comment removed

  • @parkerjwill Same "too much" applies to agriculture, just too many humans, gotta feed everyone.

  • @parkerjwill you mean the same vedic culture that gave us the caste system and the untouchable class? yea, thats a social model i wanna emulate.......

  • Comment removed

  • @agricola You should understand something before your criticize it. What you're referring to in " the caste system" is a product of modern day Hinduism - which is a deliberate perversion of the original Vedic culture by foreign invaders of modern day India (namely the Persians and British) to control the population by spiritual disinformation. The original "caste system" (orders of society) is simply a conceptual designation of four general natures of man: brāhmana, kṣatriya, vaiśya, and śūdra.

  • @parkerjwill I don't think so. These animals WANT to be in my tummy. The problem is that there's too many in too small a space.

  • @picasso566 I guess the only way to change your mind is if you were a pig

  • @parkerjwill a what culture vedic why outcast anyone that sounds of nazism making people outcasts shame shame

  • Comment removed

  • @parkerjwill there is even a greater problem, which gives strength to those who reason that these industries shouldn't be stopped (ie. their owners): there is too many of us. If these industries were not in place, how would you feed people? If they were not in place how would profit made and taxes charged? It's the whole interweave of problems that needs to be solved.

  • @parkerjwill im bout to go out for some fried chicken, cheeseburgers, steaks and a side of veal, with a little baby seal for dessery.

  • @rabidninja *dessert*

  • @parkerjwill In Vedic culture (based on the code of manu) they also abstain from honey, perfume, food flavoring, and women. I don't know about you, but I like food flavoring, honey, women, and am currently a perfumer. I agree that we shouldn't be eating so much meat, but eating meat isn't a bad thing.

  • @Fenrirsilverwolf I'm not familiar with the Manu-saṁhitā, but I also like honey and food flavoring. The whole point of the Vedas is to dovetail ones desires in devotion to the Supreme Brahman. They even give direction to those who insist on eating meat, but tell them by killing an animal for food, they too will become food. Whether something is a good or bad thing is relative, except if it is in respect of the Absolute Truth.

  • @parkerjwill And I wholeheartedly respect that point of view. My point was that the Vedic culture should not be used as an argument to promote decreased meat consumption.

  • @Fenrirsilverwolf Of course Vedic culture should be used as an argument against meat eating because it's the most advanced culture this earth has ever seen. Meat eaters were/are considered outcasts. If we humans want a truly advanced culture, we should understand the Vedic ontology. If we want a continuation of the present, we should ignore the Vedas and place our faith in empiricism.

Meat eating is sinful, it's an unnecessary act born of carnal lust.

  • @parkerjwill Nevermind. I don't respect your point of view. It's black and white.

  • @Fenrirsilverwolf Apparently you really don't understand the Vedas. That much has been evident from your first comment. The Vedas themselves are based on non-Aristotelian logic.

  • @parkerjwill You're right. I don't understand that much about the Vedas and I won't pretend to, but your comment "Vedic culture should be used as an argument against meat eating because it's the most advanced culture this earth has ever seen" and added an unfair dichotomy to your argument means you really don't understand anything else. Congrats on finding a belief you like. Although if I may make one recommendation, try learning about other cultures before making such a bold remark.

  • @Fenrirsilverwolf Please tell me of other cultures. I'm sure there are others that are very wonderful. I personally am fascinated and wish I knew more about many of them. But I'm sure you'd be hard pressed to academically dethrone Vedic culture.

  • @parkerjwill Being that I am a perfumer and not a cultural anthropologist my expertise is limited to chemistry, botany, a small portion of psychology related to the olfactory sense, and on my spare time I study philosophy. I'm not trying to academically dethrone Vedic culture. I merely want to broaden your curiosity about other cultures before declaring one the best. However I am curious as to how you define "culture"? More specifically, what makes one culture "more advanced" than other?

  • @Fenrirsilverwolf Sounds like you're into a lot of interesting subjects. I admit, I am bias toward Vedic culture. There's one reason - it's the most advanced. The question of advanced has an absolute answer for the knower of God. (don't freak out) For one who does not know, the question's answer is relative according ultimately to that persons ontological makeup.

Vedic culture is centered on self-realization and God. It has a complete spectrum of knowledge based on consciousness and, it works.

  • @parkerjwill Hahaha. Don't worry. I won't freak out, but unfortunately this is the point of the conversation where I can't offer anything of value to you. When you used "absolute answer for the knower of God" it meant that nothing I say will affect you. If you get the chance I still recommend looking into other cultures on your spare time. You might be surprised at what else works too.

  • The "Chemo" will kill you every time.

  • VERMICULTURE IS THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM
