I like the professional "cuticle nippers " over the store brand cuticle cutters. I find I get much better results, and you can remove what is necessary. BTW cutting should only be done every 3-4 weeks, vs pushing back the cuticles with a rubber or metal pusher should be done weekly.

Carmax does actually work even Chapstick. I also do my hisbands nails after he cuts them. I buff them to get the hard edges out. I also buff them to give them a slight shine. Everyh now and then I use a clear polish on his nails too. Somethng not too shiney though. He loves it and receives a lot of compliments.

I have a thing that looks like nail clippers but its for cutting my cuticles lol. Instead of it being a flat edge like nail clippers its slanted; it helps getting the cuticle even especially around the curves. I usually push my cuticles back first then cut them like the pro I am.

I also use a transparent nail strengthener with matte finish (OPI Matte Nail Envy) which gives you a nice protective layer that lasts for about a week. It does get a bit shinier after a while because your nails get polished as you wash your hands and do other stuff, but it still looks healthy and professional.

Aaron doesn't have a lot of drastic information I did not know, but I think one of the reasons I watch him is because he's so upbeat. Definitely an attractive quality--in a nonsexual way. For me, at least.

Never knew about the cuticle cleaner, though. I get hangnails, which I hate. I also wish I didn't throw away my Carmex. It was too glossy for me. Also, I wouldn't use the ends to push your cuticles down. It's better for the cuticle skin to adhere to your nail, so you don't bleed as easily.

I get compliments on my hands and nails (even from females who don't know me) and have been told that I should be a hand model. I use the following: soap, water, nail clippers and occasional hand lotion - that's it. My nails grow fast and are very strong. They grow almost too fast, but I don't let them get too long, which is gross on a guy. I've never filed or had a manicure nor do I plan to. Guess I'm lucky on the hands. Great video!!

i file my nails too but i just wanted to let you know that you're doing it wrong. the way you're doing it causes hang nails. the way it should be done is by starting at one edge and pulling it towards the center of the nail and then repeating on the other side of the nail. not back and forth. i learned from my uncle that teaches at a beauty school. but love your styling tips aaron!

Wow, that was alot of blood. I'm glad you didn't demonstrate the clippers. That would have been a shocker. You probly would have clipped at least one finger down to the first knuckle.
