@Mojopin9 I agree with you. I think the black angels sound like the black angels. dont know any other bands that sound like them, the doors sound like the doors and the velvet like the velvet.
@SuperTrancend so true. That's what make the band so intense, they just got their sound and it's so contemporary psychedelia... So much pressure on them for the future albums to come :)
@laarsensd yeah and now that you mention it, contemporary psychedelia has a odd ring..... It's like some a priori vicorty cry from our generation, we know our power against the banks well burn the paper tiger at a whim.
My band are influenced by these guys, Brian Jonestown, BRMC, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The 13th Floor Elevators, and of course, The Velvert Underground. In fact, i myself am so heavily influenced by these guys that i named the band after this song, just like these guys are named after the Velvet Underground song. We are recording atm, and getting a setlist together for gigs. Please like my bands facebook page, we are, of course, called Bad Vibrations.
13th floor elevators man! - That sound he is making with his voice, that sounds like a wobble board. Fucking sick, haven't heard that sound in music since the elevators.

Comparing The Black Angels to The Doors is shortsighted. Listen to more music.

This live version is almost like a deconstruction of the song. They were great live at the 930 club.

@neto4346 than you are unable to hear jim morrison´s soundwaves / amplitudes. which are very similiar to Alex Maas´s.

Wow, this is great. I'm thinking I might have to check these guys out live.
