  • bad intro...:-/..wahwah....but the other parts are nice..

  • @frabs91 thats fine, it's your opinion. I personally wanted to put abit of my own style into it, but the intro seems to offend everyone for some reason. I think alot of the time people can be too touchy when it comes to altering source material, as to me its much more interesting when people put there own individual spin on things. For example, If Hendrix was afraid of reinterpreting Bob Dylans classic, then we wouldn't have Hendrix's incredible version of watchtower in the first place.

  • @Mrjamesanonymous I prefer that...I'm listening to the tune through your ears...much better than a note-for-note copy. If people want a note-for-note copy they should listen to the album :)

  • very good guitarist and good cover, but i think you need to cool down a little bit in some of your solos

  • @gould0453 Thanks for the compliment. I'm not sure what you mean by 'cool down' though, could you be abit more specific?

  • @gould0453 like some of your bends and vibratos are to powerful sounding for a song like this

  • @gould0453 That's just how I like to play. I'm sorry that it bothered you but I think that it's down to your own personal preference that the blues in this song should be played smooth as apposed to aggressive. It's really no different from a preference for a soft B.B. King style solo over a hard SRV one, I mean if they played together SRV wouldn't say to himself 'I need to tone down my playing for BB King' and BB King wouldn't say to himself 'I need to tone up my playing for SRV'.

  • I love your picking style!

  • @Carbonite2008 Thanks

  • Nice job man, top!

  • @turkish349 Thanks

  • dude is this 7.25 inch radius fretboard

  • @saadmemon90 I got mine second hand and i think it was slightly modded to have a 9.5 radius instead of the 7,25 that is on the factory model. To be honest though I think the shape of the neck is more important than the radius, however a flat fret board of a 12 inch radius isnt always particularly comfortably for a bluesplayer and conversley lower radius' are prone to chocking. Another thing is that if you play alot, over time you may have to have the radius flattend to compensate for fret wear.

  • a dude your gunna get al ot more views than this well played you were very accurate to good shit man hendrix would be proud of this because you played it right peace

  • @lewe18 thanks

  • Did play as mark knofler ?

  • @madud95 no, my fingerpicking style is probably more akin to that of albert collins and jeff beck :)

  • @Mrjamesanonymous get a life man jeff beck would kill you if you said that 2 him and so would albert collins and jimi hendrix

  • @lewe18 I don't understand, I meant no offense, my comment was just to say that my finger picking style was more like jeff beck and albert collins than mark knopfler as they have had a very notable influence on my technique, I would never offend them as their playing has been very inspirational for me.

  • nice work!

  • @MeanStreet93 Thanks :)

  • Well, I've heard from some musicians on Youtube that recording the sound with your camera might cause some problems. Not only the choppy, fuzzy sound but even some delay in the video.

I have a Line 6 Pod Studio UX2 for recording. It's a great little thing that you connect to your computer. Comes with great software. Doesn't cost that much either.

I definitely recommend you to buy a recording device, because you're an amazing guitarist but recording with the camera just screws everything up.

  • @RedHouseStrat thanks for the advice, when i get some money il look into it :)

  • Awesome cover.

I don't like the intro too much, it sounds better with only the three main chords of this songs(in my opinion).

The rest of the cover is great though!

By the way, did you use your camera microphone for recording the sound??

  • @RedHouseStrat Thanks for the compliment, im sorry you didn't like the intro, i just wanted to try

doing it a bit differently although a guess a bit of critisicm is expected when messing with a song as highly esteemed as watchtower. And yes the sound and video was completley recorded with my Ipod touch camera and microphone, however it can be problematic with white noise, static and speaker distortion when multitracking, thats why i rarely use above 2 or 3 tracks at once.

  • Sounds good. Like that strat too

  • @77bluebrown thanks :)

  • This rocks.

  • @Lespaulcoolio Double Thanks

  • <3 2:10

  • @Lespaulcoolio Thanks :)

  • This really isn't synced at all. Sorry.

  • @ledzepman the video is pretty well in sync, I think what you mean is that it may seem off beat or out of time, which it will to some people, particularly those who are not very familiar to the song as there's no drums. I actually recorded all this while listening to the original song, so all the different videos layered pretty nicely on top each other, however without a drumbeat it is easy for some people not to get a sense of the rythmic beat. sorry, i may reupload it with a simple drum beat.

  • that guitar is crying....beautiful phrasing and tone

  • @jblackmd1 Thank you very much :)

  • Very nice job!

  • @TheGuitarjerry1126 Thanks :)

  • muurder;) loved the solos

  • @bridgfordbill thanks man, because you asked me to i tried really hard to recreate hendrix's tone in the main solo's so im really pleased you enjoyed it :)

  • really nice guitar work, the original solos sounded spot on and your improvised stuff was epic, favourite part was that pulse solo at 2:59. Looking forward to the next one man! (savva thought it was actually hendrix playing at one point lol)
