  • How can people dislike this? This is ART at its finest.

  • Comment removed

  • @thishandisfine No, it came from the series.

  • One of the best scenes of the series in my opinion...

  • Epic

  • This sequence is so surreal,I love it!

  • Get rid of the subtitles.

  • For those who are interested, this song is on the soundtrack for the movie Fire Walk With Me, not for the TV soundtrack

  • Jimmy Scott is the House Singer at The Black Lodge! Talk about a lifetime gig.

  • @dramarhiannon

there exists no time in the black lodge ;)

  • @fuNkyblablablubb True. That's why it's quite the lifetime.

  • @dramarhiannon

    hahaha!!

  • MASHEDINPLASTIC!!!

  • I want to go to black lodge.

  • L o v e -_-) א ה ב ה

  • I love David Lynch! He is a genius Art House! Magic song!

  • love this scene. Jimmy scott is great,

  • EEEEPPPPIIIIICCCC BEST ANYTHING EVER MADE BY ANYONE ANYTIME ANYWHERE FOR THE WHOLE HISTORY OF EVERYTHING : D WOOHOO

  • I have no idea what this is but it definitely reminds me of Lynch

  • last episode of original serial, sound masterpiece starting on ~ 18 min.

  • Sycamore Trees Written by: David Lynch (lyrics), Angelo Badalamenti (music) I got idea man You take me for a walk Under the sycamore trees The dark trees that blow baby In the dark trees that blow And I'll see you And you'll see me And I'll see you in the branches that blow In the breeze, I'll see you in the trees Under the sycamore trees
  • So what I wonder about, is this song for sale anywhere?

  • @MsSarjen Yes it is included on the soundtrack for the movie "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me". Although in the film you only hear it as an instrumental track, on the CD it's this version with the vocals.

  • love it or hate it (and i'm definitely in the love it category), you've got to admit that the finale was one of the most affecting pieces of television ever recorded. first time i watched it it stayed with me for weeks! i

  • @InstantKarmaAndroid For weeks only? It stayed with me for years.

  • lol, thanks guys for telling me the episode.

  • it´s so weird

  • This show is so awesome, and it's creepier than any modern horror movie. It leaves a chill down your spine, and I think this segment captures that eerie coolness perfectly.

  • I'm not nmad on the last episode. A lot of it is self-indulgent and meaningless running in and out of curtains, but this sequence is brilliant!

  • The end of Twin Peaks - Couldn't've been more amazing.

  • For those wondering who the singer is, it's "Little" Jimmy Scott, an amazing jazz singer.

  • Everything about this was sublime and perfect.

  • I see the metaphor in this video. When people die, like my life partener Duane died, they go where they are not visible, but influence the randomness that makes reality physical. So we can still see them in the "branches that blow", a metaphor for the reality that we still inhabit. We have free-will but it is loaded like the dice Einstein dispised, with the uncertaincy provided by the souls of those who have passed. God bless my Duame. For he loved more than anyone. And his "branches" blow.

  • if any scene in Twin Peaks gave you goosebumps it was this one

  • What is the name of this beautiful siger?

  • @LinnZXavier Jimmy Scott

  • What is the name of this beautiful siger?

  • Yep! It's the very last episode - voilá :o)

  • Usually i hate this kind of music but this one as something that get me stick to it only one thing that i don`t like about this song is that she is so short

  • I don't remember ever seeing this scene at all. What episode specifically? Anyone know?

  • @TheBackseatJesus 29 "Miss Twin Peaks" (or maybe 28 "The Path to the Black Lodge")

  • @spun100 Thank you.

  • @spun100 ya. and either way it is the last one. which is a shame that it ended, but hell it was a good episode.

  • @spun100 episode 29. the final episode.

  • @spun100

Its from the last chapter, chapter 30 (actually 29, as the first episode is the pilot and it is 0) which is called "Beyond life and death"

  • @spun100

it's from the film Fire walk with me.

  • Comment removed

  • @spun100

No, its in the last episode, Beyond Life and Death

  • @help4343

    Beat me to it :)

One of the most memorable scenes in TV history.

  • @spun100 NO, its from the series finale.

  • @TheBackseatJesus It's the very very very very last episode. "Beyond Life and Death"

  • @TheBackseatJesus its the last episode "Beyond Life and Death"

  • @TheBackseatJesus It's from the last episode. Where Cooper just have entered the Black Lodge.

  • @TheBackseatJesus

last episode. ' betwwen life and death'

  • @TheBackseatJesus It's from the final episode of season 2

  • @TheBackseatJesus Ce n'est pas dans la série mais dans le film Fire walk with me.

  • @TheBackseatJesus it is the very last scene of the tv series.......... next...... the bank blows up..... and money falls everywhere, onto the pine trees....... then the glasses fall on the branch of the pine tree.... as money falls and falls..... (as a symbol of ..... "SEE!" SEE WHAT'S GOING ON????) The cursed land we walk upon in AMerica... our dreams haunted by ghosts of the past and the present........ Native America.... destroyed...... ahhh David... genius

  • @TheBackseatJesus last episode

  • @TheBackseatJesus

It's not from the series, it's from the movie "Fire, walk with me"

  • @bartepixie, thats a nope. im actually watching the finale, the current scene shown in this video. its from "Beyond Life and Death", roughly around half hour mark.

  • @TheBackseatJesus, it's the last episode "Beyond Life and Death" roughly around 30 min mark, give or take few 10 mins.

  • @TheBackseatJesus is from the last episode of season 2 "the path to the black lodge" the best episode of the series by far... even though that wasn't the ending that Lynch wanted but he pulled it off just great!

  • @TheBackseatJesus wtf? have you ever seen twin peaks man?

  • @TheBackseatJesus Last episode!

  • @TheBackseatJesus The scene ever saw in my life. PLease restart all twin peaks !!!!

  • @TheBackseatJesus episode 30

  • @TheBackseatJesus episode 29. The very last episode. About halfway through.

  • I love this song, thanks for sharing it.

  • Who is that singing?

  • @nanuaraq0409 The singer is Jimmy Scott, a/k/a Little Jimmy Scott. If you like him there is more on You Tube. I highly recommend his rendition of Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child.

  • @don1carter Thank you very much. He seems amazing!

  • Superb!

  • So hauntingly beautiful-what follows is the most surreal and extraordinary piece of television ive ever witnessed.

  • what kind of music genre is this?

  • @meNtor890

    It is called Mind-Fuck-Jazz

  • Which episode was this from? Not from :Fire Walk With Me;

  • @m11gtr it's from the series finale

  • @m11gtr

One of the last few episodes.

  • I feel incredibly sad about Cooper. Only an awesome director like Lynch, who pick and direct great actors can do this.

  • é incrible, sublime, envelesante, David Lynch é un xenio

  • I want them to continue the story with Dale Cooper. Too bad the actor who played Bob is dead. He hit that character dead on.

  • damn, this song is a masterpiece

  • Why do the cancell the shows that are so damn good? People didn't care until it was gone! Damn. Mr. Lynch shold have been allowed to finish his tale. :(

  • @awhook221 He did, he knew ahead of time that it would be canceled and decided that instead of just letting it "end" or sloppily wrapping things up too fast to end it on a good cliffhanger instead.

  • I adore this song.

  • I had forgotten about this scene. Very cool!

  • Funny as hell??? I take it u laughed at the Excorcist as well then. This vid creeps me out lol!

  • @scottdj1982 midgets and green vomit... two things I will never stop laughing at

  • @scottdj1982 oh and keanu reeves look a likes

  • I have just rented all of twin peaks first series. Damn me for not being born sooner, I hate playing catch-up with good stuff, David Lynch is genius!

  • Consider yourself lucky because you don't have to wait a week between episodes but can binge on all the weird, awesomeness all at once!

  • Very true!

  • @scottdj1982 Twin Peaks was cancelled due to ignorance and lack of taste...wait till you finish the second season! And then watch Fire Walk With Me.

  • Sung by the brilliant Little Jimmy Scott.

  • Look up Sycamore tree's by pointy shoe factory, it's a good cover I think.

  • gives me goosebumps

  • The definitely beats the issues of Highlights for Kids that are in the waiting room for my dentist.

  • And think of the money you save on novacaine! Lynch hits the base nerve everytime. This is one of the highlights after the series began to wane.

  • So amazing scene and episode, 5/5.

  • i dig the ribbit at the very end there.

  • in a town like twin peaks no one is innocent !!!

  • Even coop.

  • As you guys may or may not know - this was actually diolog from David Lynch's dream project called "Ronny Rocket". A script he wrote after Erasurhead. Here is the script text:

    GIRL:

I got idea, man...you take me for a walk ( she moves closer to the guy) under the sycamore trees (closer) the dark trees that blow, baby. In the dark trees I'll see you and you'll see me...I'll see you in the branches that blow in the breeze...I'll see you under the trees.

  • thanks, i didn't know it

  • @luis6079

    source?

  • You know when I die and go to Hell/The Black Lodge I'm gonna be pissed if Jimmy Scott isn't there to great me like cheron the fairyman of the dead. Kind of like Bill and Ted when they go to Hell and declare they totally got lied to by their album covers.

  • my question is, what the hell did jimmy scott do to end up in the black lodge?

  • He was trying to save Annie, like Coop.

  • @lonsumtravlr Probably sold his sould for that magnificent voice.

  • @lonsumtravlr awesome.

  • @lonsumtravlr well done, sir.

  • i get goosebumps every time i watch this, right when jimmy scott starts singing.

  • god damn... i dont even know how to say it... this is just the most dark, strange, and beautiful scene that just captures the black lodge so perfectly.

  • Gives me chills.

  • cold as ice or twice as nice? mr palmer?

  • definitely less than 25 years to go. Twin peak fans will get it.

  • ominous, dark, oneirical

  • The Black Lodge still scares me more than any horror movie.

  • Terrifyingly beautiful.

  • This scene creeped the shit outta me when I 1st saw it

  • "Hows Annie...???!?!"

  • ...and where is Chester Desmond??

  • I love this song.

But what is it about, and how does it relate to the context of the film? I have not seen it. :)

  • entrance to the Black Lodge (Red Room) is within a circle of sycamore trees

  • i get shivers everytime he starts singing and the lights dim

  • Never watched twin peaks and am quite glad too. That would have gave me nightmares for months lol.

  • Sorry that you didn't my friend-you missed some great stuff. But if you were only 10, it wouldn't have been suitable for you.

  • There is something incredibly eerie about that song....

  • Seriously one of the greatest songs and one of the greatest moments in music/cinema history. Lynch and little jimmy totally nailed it!

  • Yes, it was spectacular!

  • I love the look on Coopers face, just like "what the fuck did I just walk into?"

  • So beautiful. I love this scene and the ''Meanwhile'' scene.

  • Me too. Hands figure is brilliant.

  • Is this from Industrial Symphony? I haven't seen it yet...

  • Twin Peaks makes me hungry for breakfast foods

  • Ok, I'm trying to place why. Is it the taste sensation when maple syrup collides with ham?

  • ?eeffoc emos ekil uoy dluoW

  • Enter if you dare

  • Since it's Halloween season and all, wouldn't it be cool/creepy if they had a black lodge haunted house or room in one atleast...

  • I've always wanted to have a room in my house done up in herringbone flooring, red drapes, and Greek sculpture just so I can go into my own black lodge.

  • This scene is scary as hell

  • It's amazing! I already said it in the comment of black lodge part 1! This sequence and this absolutely wonderful song are just PERFECT for the beginning of the black lodge sequence!!! It's like a presentation!! And the mood of it, it's so freaky, so spooky! With all that flashing lights and the midget dancing and cooper watching... my god! A perfect way to end one of the greatest TV shows of all time!!!

  • I Am The Black Lodge

  • I Am The Black Lodge.

  • Too late, I said it first

  • I Am The Black Lumberjack.
