Chris De Burgh and someone pretending to be Chris De Burgh on the stage at the same time singing one of the worst songs ever written, I am going to have nightmares of this.
TRIVIA FOR YOU; At 1.33 in this performance, Chris whispers to Ian, 'Youre a turd burglar, get your own style, you!' and that's the truth of it all. Talk about unleashing a tiger from it's cage!!!!!
Thank you for the reply, he is in a good profession, working with young people is great. If you are able ( If street cred allows) just let him know I still watch him on you tube, he is great. PS I am not a grannie groupie though!
I was only 11 at the time all those years ago, but this is one tv moment ill never forget, Ian Moor was great in this competition, I guess after performances like this the decision was made that it should leave on a high as there wont be too many better performances than this.
thank you for uploading this video. it brings back lots of memory. can't believe it's 10 years ago now. "stars in their eyes" and "blind dates" used to be 2 of my favourite tv shows at that time. :P
truly was a magical moment on a great show..there were other great moments as well though..

Ah...when a talent show used to be a proper talent show and it was hosted by and aimed at adults, not kids. Those were the days.

Its weird that this is one of my biggest memories of tv from back in the day (albeit not that long ago).
For my money this was probably the second closest impersonation I ever saw on Stars.
