I-280 South: Toledo, OH

Just took the entire length of I-280 south last week. You had much better driving conditions than I did (snow and semis spun out).

I continued on the SR-420 expressway to US-20 east. No tolls for me!

I really enjoyed the brief drive of rural Toledo. The drive through Toledo was great too...don't get me wrong! I don't see many videos of rural driving except for ones that are made by families or friends on a road trip on the interstate or on federal/state highways.

Alot of drivers coming from Michigan southbound on 75 get nailed by state troopers for speeding. You'll be doing 75 MPH and you have to slow down to 60-65 MPH as soon as you cross into Ohio.

@Aquamelli Ohio is notorious for speed enforcement! I recall a roadtrip about ten years ago where I got on northbound I-75 at US 30 (had to check out the mess at Beaverdarn, after all!) and there was one running radar about every two-three minutes from there all the way to just south of I-475.

Awesome drive Jim! I was surprised to learn that Ohio's most expensive project was a mere 237 million. Especially with all of the cities it has. Wisconsin's already working on their second billion dollar project. Anyways, looking forward to Cleveland. Thumbs up on this one!

@eluko79 Yepper - the latest estimate is $1.5G for the US 41 work in the Oshkosh-Neenah and Green Bay areas!

I'm also kind of surprised that the Ohio Turnpike guys didn't streamline their I-280 interchange with the highway's six-lane upgrade a few years ago - that is a major move that you followed getting onto it. Ditto the WB Turnpike to NB I-280.

The old drawbridge is still there to the right of the skyway if I recall correctly. They repurposed it. I used to hate driving through there during the re-construction of I-280 and the building of the bridge.
