  • If you plan to rinse the meat with all that fresh water afterwords, you may as well clean the crab before cooking

  • can't believe u guys throw out the Crab Tomalley............it's prized stuff! try it in a sauce with a little cream and tarragon

  • @Hardcore. I agree. Much like cooking a shrimp\lobster with the heads on, you end up with great natural flavor. And as OORah sugeested, the "tamale" makes gooooood eats. I also think that plenty of salt is key, when boiling. The downside to cooking whole is that the body meat can sometimes get discolored, but not usually a big deal. Happy Crabbing!
