Where did they get the name 'Yankee' from? Yeah, NEw York Yankees, but how did they came up with it? Is it some kind of old name from the colony time? I've read somewhere it's a Dutch name: Jan-Kees. Pretty cool if that's true!

@majora2206 They got it from what people called northerners in the civil war. They called them Yankees.
