  • One fkn boring ass life you got there, Mr. HillBilly! To do a documentary on the BIG $30 purchase you made, and to not show the use? Shame on you. Tisk Tisk. And the flaring tool. Nearly everywhere still rents them... Autozone, Advanced Auto, O'Reilly's...etc. And the one you bought is NO DIFFERENT than the rentals. Anyway, I don't think it's that you were concerned about bothering people. I think it's that you got no people. If you need friends, spend your next $50 on a chatline.

  • I have one of these they work better than using 2 people to bleed them and or just a tube and bottle method which was my old method. Just make sure you fill the master cylinder, if it runs dry you will suck air back in. The tool can be used for Vacuum tests on the auto too. I have only used it for draining the rear end fluid and brake bleed jobs. The Book that comes with it shows all the uses. For 30 bucks it is a good buy.

  • so whats your review on this vacuum pump so far that youve owned it? im about to buy the same mityvac 8000 but i keep hearing bad reviews about it. Like it doesnt have strong pressure, and doesnt seal up tight enough to the bleeder valves. Not sure which other brand to get

  • at 2:50 that was fuckn funny :)

  • Thanks for your video showing the brake bleeding tool. On the use of the flaring tool, I was wondering how you manage to join two brake lines together.

  • A question and a comment: If your pedal fell to the floor, how (and why) did you drive the car to the gas station and home? Actually, I had that happenen three times in my life and I drove home by down-shifting and using the hand brake but I'm just wondering how you did it. Also, here's an admittedly nit-picking comment: There is no such word as "bursted." The correct word is "burst" even when using it in the past tense.

  • did you ever get it to work? I have a fluid extractor and a bleeder adaptor and was going to try vac bleeding my brakes but I have heard good and bad. The good is you can do it yourself and the fluid is traveling the correct way through the system. The bad is people say air leaks past the bleeder screws. But Ive heard that this can be fixed with some grease. Also I hear its slow on some brake systems. But im yet to try it on my little sedan.

  • Wait, did you try to come to a complete stop?

  • Had the same thing happen to me with my old 1992 Ford F150 pickup.

Scary stuff for sure Craig. Almost hit another vehicle at the stop sign.

How did the pump work out for you. I have a Ford Freestar now, and need to bleed the brakes on it. Thinking of a pump like yours.

  • These things are really awesome, using one myself. Its brilliant !

  • Don't American cars have a dual diagonal system so that you don't lose all your brakes in the event of a line rupture?

  • @GuyRWood yeah the front and rear are separate, but the pedal still travels a lot more when one system is leaking. You can still stop but it's not a good feeling.

  • @GuyRWood You know, I was watching and listening to your video and was fairly interested until you said what you did which was so juvenile and stupid that I quit listening. I was willing to ignore the 'bursted' , but I tuned in to learn about brakes and not about pleasuring one's self. Your should consider growing up. Other than one pervert's positive remark about your comment, I am certain most people found it out of place.

  • @oldkawboy1

What are you on about?! This isn't my video...

  • u can use it as a penis pump too

  • Use it to masturbate ROTFL I didn't expect that one and I am crack'en up man ! Good one!!

  • What is "Bursted"?

  • i have the same vacuum pump, but mine would not build up vacuum, and gave up after 1hour of playing with it. i ended up removing the pump from the pump end of the canister that comes with the kit, i raised the canister and sat it in the engine bay, then with the brake fluid reservoir filled up and the bleeder nut under 1/4 turn open, i pumped the brake pedal about 5 times or till i saw no more bubbles, then closed the bleeder nut, and repeated on all brakes, each tire took about 5 min. good luck

  • Yes ive used this bleeder on bmw system. Both clutch and brake line hydro connected. Just run a bunch of fluid through while someone helps keep topped up. You can loosen all bleeders first with socket just in case there really on there tight then you wrench can break loose easier. So far i like the vac oo and also may as well hit slave cyl as well

  • Man thank God your ok! I know you guys have not had the best weather either, kinda of a double wammy. Hey I had my own scrap yard shocker.. 212 Lbs of vacuum motors $15.28.. well not so much of a shocker after your vid I was expecting it. Thanks!

  • i guess thats around 7 or 8 cents a pound. steel prices may of increased, but probably not much. i made over 100 bucks in 3 days during the spring flood cleanup when the steel prices were higher

  • just went through the exact same thing with my truck

  • i just open the bleeder and let gravity do the rest takes 10-15 min but the tool you have is cool to check some valves & sensors on the vacuum system good luck

  • Thanks for the update. I like creative minds.
