  • i want to know what there is, so what are the world bosses and the different tool looks that garfield uses?

  • do all the bosses look like odie? thats hilarious!

  • ANYTHING that involves garfield HAS to be good

  • HAHAHA Caught in the act...haha I hope that wasn't meant to be innuendo.

  • You think Gex the Gecko was inspired by this game maybe? I'm not sure which one came first. But as a Garfield fan I am just a proud gamer that beat this game

  • @animeloverryan85 There was a movie in 1992 called Stay Tuned that had people getting sucked into a TV and going through different channels. Gex first came out in 1994, and this Garfield game came out in 1995, so I think the film may have inspired both games.

  • this game reminds me of Ristar.

  • @4Supersmash the music test in the options menu.

  • Can anyone please answer this? Where can I find this version of garfield? All I can find is the version where it starts from the vampire place!

  • @BoyLovesErza I'm pretty sure they all start off at the vampire level.

  • @cjszero01 Actually the PC version starts off on the PC level and the rest are ordered differently. It's been forever since I've played, but I think the second level is the Egypt level, and the space level is added in at some point. I never made it far, sadly.

  • @Sonic10122 Technically the PC level is nothing more than a very short tutorial kind of level, and you start there on the genesis version as well. There... not really levels.

  • @Sonic10122 Why is mine starting from the vampire stage? I recall the old one I played very long ago starts from the world with crabs and birds which is much easier.

  • @cjszero01 The one I played like 10years ago starts from the world with the 300,000 BC thingy where we can see birds and crabs.

  • Would you believe I stumbled upon the method to defeat Count Slobula by accident?

  • I just read that there were some extra levels for this game that didn't make it onto the Genesis cartridge, but were added to the Sega Channel service as "The Lost Levels". That's basically why the game feels short.

  • @A113Pixar I think it was just one, the space level, and it looked terrible.

  • 1:48 I'M ON A BOAT!!!!

  • i just realized the you use the glitch boss theme for your intro on your top 5/top 10 vids

  • i agree the glitch of the odiesourus is driving me crazy back when i was a kid

  • i didn't even know this game existed until now!

  • this game looks fun but i dont have a sega genesis...

  • man the music when your fighting glitch is really catchy XD

  • man the music when your fighting glitch is really catchy XD

  • That was a smart move the developers made.

  • Id it just me or does this game look ALOT like Earthworm Jim?

  • anyone notice that odie's ears are white in the first panel of the intro then his ears magicaly turn brown in the 2nd panel

  • I heard this game ran off the same engine as earthworm jim

  • you didnt tell us the final boss is freaken charels MANSON

  • 3:10 There's that platform you were talking about at 3:18 plus before the jump you can see a little bit of it.

Hidden in plain sight, that's much better design that you gave credit for. :P

I'm watching through all your reviews btw, all of them even the old ones.

  • i had this game but when i was a kid i couldn't get pass the level where ottie was a vampire

  • this game reminds me of Earthworm Jim

  • me to!!!

  • Man i had this game for the Mega Drive. One of my favorites :)

But i agree, it was a bit hard, specially in killing flying enemies with the melee attack. The bosses were amazing, specially the one in the Cleopatra level (it made scary noises xD). I also liked those levels you play before the main stage, inside the TV.

Still, when i was a kid, i didnt know how to kill the first boss (needed to open the windows) and to pass the second stage (jungle part, you were supposed to go go all way up).

  • you know what, T^T I miss this game soooooo much! you make me want to play it again! T^T I've searching this game for a month! T^T

  • This game looks like so much fun. Too bad both of my Genesis controllers are broken. :(

  • It's kind of average really, but I love it because it's Garfield. I was able to buy a used Genesis conrtoller from a Game Crazy that is sadly going to close for 44 cents.

  • I MIGHT GET THIS FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

  • So, Garfield gets sucked into the TV, goes to TV-themed worlds including a spooky world, and fights a scary-looking robot boss? That sounds eerily similar to Gex, which was released on the 3DO in 1994, while Garfield Caught in the Act was released for the Genesis in 1995. I hate to say this, but I think Garfield ripped off of Gex.

  • I played Gex, and your right it does have a similuar plot.

  • Play the PC edition, and then say the Mega Drive edition of the game has a great sound track.

Sure, its CD audio, but it blows the crap out of the Mega Drive edition, I kind of wish it was a Sega CD game.

  • youre right about that boss hes crap i wish he would just die and when you said there was a glitch ithought it was good but,no it wasn't

  • I liked the whole game. Catsablanca? Not so much. When you mentioned Dino-Odie battle's nasty glitch, I knew exactly what you meant. Damn that stupid glitch. That battle's kinda weird and a little creepy. Probably because the way he moves up and down when you hit him. He just slides up and down.

  • My favorite part about this game was playing the whack-a-mole mini game at the menu option. That was the most addictive whack-a-mole game ever.

  • Where did you download the game from? :) or did you have the original CD?

  • Niether, it's a cartridge from the Sega Genesis.

  • I remember this game.

  • This game is so hard, I can't beat the stupid vampire level :-(

  • Why what's the problem?

  • its impossible haha. I couldnt beat Odie Vampire but now i see you have to pull down the shade. what the hell? how was i supposed to know that? lol. So how do you pull down the shade? Do you just jump on it?

  • Not exactly, Odie has to be in the coffin, then jump on the coffin and jump again and you should be able to automatically reach the curtain, do this three times and he's finished. I'm not sure how you're supposed to get him in the coffin but try to kill all the bats and throw a few skulls at him and that should work, I guess.

  • haha yay thanks

  • Your welcome. :)

  • Seems cool, but without watching this review buying this game would'nt be possible for me. I would never buy a game from a cartoon show (Specially not garfield I hate his series). Do u have Donkey kong 64? It would be cool if u reviewed it :D. Still a good review ^^.

  • I do, but it would be a while before I reviewed that game, I would have to play through it and remember everything again.

  • Did u complete it?

  • If I remember correctly I had 101 banana's and the outtakes at the end of the game. I had collected...just about everything in that game just the same way I collected everything in Banjo-Kazooie.

  • actually there is 200 bananas ^^. Did u like the game? Banjo and Donkey still r my 2 favourite games :D, but that may change when SSBB comes out in ... 5days!! after 2 years of waiting =). Btw that Zak and Wiki game seemed to pwn, I've just sold my Ipod to my dad so I guess I'll buy it soon :D. Do you have the game? I have a lil request if u do have the game skip DK64 and make a Zak and Wiki review ^^.

  • actually I'm sure it's 201, there's an extra banana for getting all the banana faries on film. I do plan on getting zak and wiki because I want to support good third party games, but it will be a while.

  • tell me when u get it :D.

  • ok but it will be a month or two, there are some other games I'm trying to finish.

  • Like?

  • Boom Blox, I downloaded Super CastleVania, and I'm probably going to get Megaman Starforce 2.

  • oki^^. was bloom blox good?

  • I haven't had enough time to play through the game but from the little stuff I have played it's pretty good. It's puzzles and blowing up blocks and watching them fly.

  • cool.

  • I didn't know Jim Davis team up with Sega to make that game. Most games based on cartoon shows and movies aren't that good. I think thats the problem. Alot of cartoonist didn't focus on helping the game devlepors to make it better. Jim Davis did the right thing for the game.

  • Correct. When the creators actually get envolved with projects of their own creation it really pays off. In fact Jim Davis actually made a special comic book for this game about Garfield and some of the comic strips from his past. As he would say "Nice Touch."

  • a Garfield comic book version of the game. Thats sounds like a very good idea that he did also cause he wants the game to have more attention. I'm not sure if he made a huge surport to the Garfield live action movies.

  • Sorry I meant a comic book based on Garfield explaining Garfield using previous comic strips from newspapers. I think he was invovled in it since I say him in some on screen locations in abehind the scenes book of the movie but I stayed away from those movies because I thought they were disgraceful. Why were his lips Moving? Where was Lyman? and why did them try to make him look real instead of a CGI Cartoon like in the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie? I just couldn't go see them.

  • Never heard of this game but you're right, these are some of the best graphics I've ever seen for Genesis.

  • Thanks. :)

  • Looks like a pretty good game to me.

  • It is, but it's short, has some design flaws, and there can be too many eneimes that can be very annoying.
