I really can't believe the arrogance. Just for anyone watching this through, everything that kid in the red shirt said about natural selection was incorrect. To demonstrate clearly your ignorance of a subject and then declare it disproven is the most terrifying of arrogance.
@SHYPBibleStudy Check out wikipedia dude. What suit jacket guy said was actually correct (though I'm sure he was using this factual set up to spin off into nonsense). Then you cut to red shirt kid, presumably to disprove the notion of natural selection, but he bungled it hopelessly. "things are starting out complex, but they create things that are simpler than them" No, that's simply not true.
@Malevolantgoat I'd have to go back and watch the video again, but I believe he meant that information can be lost but not gained through natural selection. Long haired dogs can mate and lose the DNA code for short hair until they mate with a short haired dog again. However, through natural selection new code that does not already exist does not magically pop up (except through possible mutation, which are not good by the way).
@chuber1979 Yeah he barely mentioned information in there. The problem is that is NONSENSE. The term "information" goes woefully undefined, and thats what this arguments lives on. The truth is evolution (in all its processes) can and does create complexity and nothing about information theory disputes that.
@chuber1979 Further, your description of genetics is inaccurate. A dog doesn't necessarily need to lose "the code for long hair". Hair length is a complex matter and there are likely a number of ways to regulate length without losing a whole gene.
@chuber1979 Laslty, nobody is saying code "magically pops up" its through mutation and selection. This is the arrogance of ignorance I was talking about. Mutations are sometimes good. Mostly their neutral. Sometimes their bad. Natural selection causes the conservation of these beneficial mutations to the genome. Hair length in dogs is a bad example because nearly all species of dog we have today was artificially bred by humans, so variations exist on an unrealistic timespan (I'd imagine).
@chuber1979 Wikipedia is your friend for this and other basics. Its not a controversial or fringe topic. Read the article on "Antibiotic Resistance" and also "Mutation".
@Malevolantgoat Two things I discovered in my quick wiki-read and further research. 1) the bacteria evolution is dependent on an outside source - us 2) when the bacteria becomes resistant it loses another function, so it's still not gaining information. This is interesting reading though, and I'll continue to look at this.
@chuber1979 THe first point is both untrue and irrelevant. There are naturally existing antibiotics or antibiotic factors. But as I said that's irrelevant, why do you think it matters if a person is involved, and how do you think that stops it from demonstrating natural selection? The second point you made is untrue. If you would like to quote me the bit you're inferring this from, I'd be happy to explain it.
@chuber1979 and I may have misunderstood what you meant by dependent on an outside source. It is dependent upon mutation and natural selection. The selective pressure is, of course, an outside source but thats how natural selection works (If that's what you meant)
@deyessorc7 because your dogma hates the natural humanistic way and has a doctrine opposed to humanity. Your dogma sets up a situation where you cannot have your god return until the planet is destroyed, this apocalyptic world view is hateful of all life, and human progress ever! The only real question is, how is your apocalyptic world view not hate filled evil? Can you answer that?
@GodKillerAtheist God charges us to take care of the world, not destroy it. You have a gross misunderstanding of the Biblical text. Yes, we believe Jesus will return, and THEN yes, this broken world will be destroyed. But it will then be replaced with a new earth. The fact that we believe this will happen does not mean we are filled with hate. Just because one believes a murderer will murder again does not make them hate-filled. We are not to destroy; we are to take care of God's creation.
@chuber1979 so you admit you have an apocalyptic world view and yet you dont seem to understand how it is harmful? This is proof enough to me that your mind has been corrupted with this immoral dogma of hate. If you want to take care of the natural world then you must remove the part in your bible that supports it.
@GodKillerAtheist GK - Do you believe that the universe will come to an end eventually (including everything in it) by some means? My second question is, since you say "Jesus myth" is that do you believe that Jesus was a real person in history?
@GodKillerAtheist (I'm so sorry to harp on this, but you are making so many straw men here - you are saying "what" we believe as Christians, and then attacking this. Yet these assumptions are flat wrong!! In order to be taken seriously, you need to find a better tactic, fyi).
@deyessorc7 look you're the one who admitted to having an apocalyptic world view. If that fact makes you feel dirty or ashamed then that sounds like a personal problem. Don't. Try to push the blame of your evil worl view off on to me by stating I'm making steaw men when its plain to see I'm not because I haven't.
@GodKillerAtheist Hate - to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest. Would you agree with this definition? If you do then I do not feel hate toward this earth. If you do not, please tell me what your definition of hate is.
According to your dogma; Eternal life can only be yours once Jesus comes back, and Jesus can't come back till the world is destroyed. So logically you destroy the world to speed up the process.
Although you feel justified you are actually showing your fear that is based on your hatred of people who you fail to convince such as myself. Your hatred relates to your fear because you are afraid you are wrong and the only thing you can do is ignore, silence, and demonize what you fear
@chuber1979 Hate- Denoting hostile actions motivated by intense dislike or prejudice
your prejudice towards those you fail to convince fuels your hatred. When I say those I also mean those facts in nature, science and reality that your cult dislikes because it cannot refute, coexist or contend with. This is what I mean by Hate the world so You destroy it to bring back the myth of Jesus. You hate what opposes your apocalyptic world view and that would be the world itself.
@GodKillerAtheist This is not Biblical. We do not destroy the world to "speed up the process." Nor should we hate those we can't convince. Now, I will admit that there are Christians that do this, however, this is not the Biblical method. By the way, Jesus does not come back after the world is destroyed. If you think this is in the Bible somewhere I'd like to see the verse. In fact, the disciples thought Jesus was going to come back within their lifetime.
@chuber1979 Rev 15:5 After this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law—and it was opened. 6 Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues.
You're religion states that Angles guided by Gods LAW are sent to destroy the world. These angles are all the main cults with an apocalyptic world view. God is your excuse to do harm. "rev15:1 seven angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them God’s wrath is completed."
@GodKillerAtheist I can search thru 4 different commentaries on these verses and get 4 different interpretations. Why? Because it's Revelations and mostly symbolic. I'll come back to your interp in a moment. First of all, who was John writing this to? You and me? No! He was writing to Christians at the time. Well then why the symbolism? Because John was in prison on Patmos and he was sending letters that, if intercepted would be destroyed. He's talking about Rome mostly. Now...continued below...
@chuber1979 Ill agree with you on your interpretation fallacy. We don't need the bible to make a case for christian hate we just have to look at all the hate that's done by christians.
@GodKillerAtheist Even if I were to interpret as you did, I see no reason for me to "hate" or try to "destroy" the world. It's merely a prediction of what will happen, it's not an ordain. In fact, God asks us to take care of His world, not try to destroy it. So if this is the correct interpretation, which we can't be sure of, then it still doesn't have a message of hatred. No church doctrine comes from Revelation for a reason.
@chuber1979 This is my exact point - just because something is occuring in the future (per the message in revelation) and the event take place of destruction, this does not follow that we, as Christians are to hate others. This does not follow that for the second coming to take place we must hate others. You are building straw men.
@chuber1979 the bible god doesn't say to take care of the world he says to use it like a rest stop bathroom on the way to a better place. Also the apocalyptic world view that is a sole part of christianity makes your points moot.
@GodKillerAtheist Where in the bible does it say this? Also how is eschatology (christian) the "sole part of christianity" as you say? You never answered my question from before as it pertains to this: Is it not the view of cosmology/physicists that the universe will end on its own, thus ending human existence? If this is the case (it is), then they are fueling hate as well. See how silly this sounds?
@deyessorc7 well belief in christ means you have to kill the planet to bring him back. The bible has several verses regarding this but you already dissmissed one that I posted so you'll do the same regardless. I don't have to use the bible to see what your cult does I just have to see what they do
@GodKillerAtheist The Bible has ZERO verses saying we should kill the planet. The verse you cited gave no directive to destroy the planet. Go back and read the verse. It does not say we should kill the planet. God NEVER says this. You are making arguments for hatred that have nothing to do with the Bible and everything to do with stupid Christians who do stupid things. There are also stupid atheists who do stupid things. Let's establish that stupid people do stupid things, and move on.
@chuber1979 The bible has tons of evil but it has ZERO verses that say not to destroy the planet or kill all the people on it. I'm making an argument for humanity if you feel that's hatred then that shows your true colors. An Atheist is anyone you haven't convinced so it's not the same. Christians are following a hate filled dogma that says to destroy the world. Atheists are people Christians HAVEN'T convinced they are normal people who the Christian FAILED to convince. BIG DIFFERENCE!
@GodKillerAtheist You are not making any sense. The Bible does NOT have hate filled dogma. I think we've established this, yet you keep saying it. Saying does not make it true. I also am making an argument for humanity. By you arguing with me, does this show your true colors? Do you not see that we believe the same thing about humanity and the planet? PS I don't understand what your big difference is. I know what an atheist is, and I agree with your statement about them.
@chuber1979 huh? Did you just copy and paste my last comment? So the bible doesn't say kill nnonbelievers, gays, people who wear mixed fabric etc, etc! The contridictions in the bible aren't even what I care about. I can see how christians act and what they do to others.I'm not arguing the bible I'm arguing the actions
@GodKillerAtheist I will argue actions with you, if you want. Like I said there are stupid Christians. They do stupid things. They don't treat gays and atheists with love. They judge and condemn people to hell. But this is not what they should be doing; this is not what Jesus taught. In fact, he hung out with "those" people, and taught a different message than what the Pharisees were. Just like today. We have many Pharisees who teach bad doctrine.
@chuber1979 John 14:15 Jesus says, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." The commandments are a evil set of dogmatic immoral actions that if not kept will bring the punishment of murder to the person who disobeyed and possibly to his whole family.
Ezekiel 18:30 “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each according to his conduct,” declares the Lord GOD"
So by this passage Christians with bad conduct are hypocrites. I've only seen about .01% who have any decent conduct whatsoever
@chuber1979 "God's commandments are not evil and immoral." Well if a GOD actually wrote them then yes he would be immoral. The bible likes to use examples to teach. I'm going to do that with you with a hypothetical situation to prove my point.
There is a woman who has only two choices, Steal food to feed her children, or let them die of starvation. Using your biblical morals she should let them die of starvation to save her soul.Without inventing a 3rd option, tell me how moral is this?
@GodKillerAtheist Good example. First of all her soul will be saved either way, because Jesus died to pay for our sins. Secondly, just as in real life there are rules, but there are exceptions to those rules. We don't write exceptions into our laws, because that would be silly. God judges not on our actions, but reads our heart. Now, technically as Christians we should help her out, but I suppose in a vacuum "stealing" would be the option she should and would need to choose.
@chuber1979 I noticed how you didn't actually decide what was the more moral option. Children starving or theft. The analogy was to show how immoral Christianity is so if you agree it's a good example then I really can't argue. I know actions don't mean anything to a Christian because that would mean they couldn't hide their immorality behind a guise of morality. All that is required is belief and faith that Jesus died for your sins regardless of how many people you murder or children you rape
@GodKillerAtheist In our society it's against the law to kill. Is there not an exception for self-defense? How is this any different? Or should I make you decide which is moral. To put the person who defending himself to death? Biblical Laws are not hard and fast with no exception, just like todays are not. So yes, I did answer your question. The moral option was to feel your children.
@chuber1979 so now you're using modern subjective morality instead of dogmatic or primitive morality. Yes, dogmatic morals must be followed to the T. This is what makes them dogmatic they have no moral alternative and thus feeding your children by thieft would be immoral
@GodKillerAtheist You're applying your own standards to this as well. I don't see what your point is. God judges our hearts, not our actions. It's always been this way. Modern or Ancient. Doesn't matter. Morality is the same.
@chuber1979 the heart is a pump god is an incoherency. My main point is that your cult isn't moral nor does it teach morality. What it does is teach pretend morality that makes you feel like you've done good when you're actually hurting and killinging everyon for your apocalyptic world view
@GodKillerAtheist You can keep saying it, but it doesn't make it true. I'm not hurting or killing anyone. I follow what the Bible teaches, and you clearly don't know what the Bible teaches.
@chuber1979 Personally, no you may not be killing anyone or mutilating the genitals of children. But you do support it by being a christian who doesn't speak up for common sense. So you're worse than those who are actually doing these evils that the bible teaches.
Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel.(Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT) Obviously you don't know the bible.
@GodKillerAtheist I do speak up for common sense. I do speak up against the evils of which you speak. So those who are killing and hurting children should have consequences.
As far as cherry picking verses without understanding context, it's just as easy for me to pick out quotes from Dawkins, Hitchens, or Darwin to misrepresent them. Ex - Darwin "To suppose that the eye with all its inimitable contrivances...could have been formed by natural selection, seems...absurd in the highest degree."
@GodKillerAtheist You are pointing out levitical laws which is an entirely different discussion. The OT and what took place cannot be looked at through modern glasses (that is anachronistic in thinking). Also, there are many treatments and scholarly work on this that is much more vital to this topic than just dismissing it saying "God says to kill gays, etc.). You do realize that The Jews were under a theocracy and those rules don't apply to use now, right?
@deyessorc7 "You are pointing out levitical laws which is an entirely different discussion." WRONG! Jesus said clearly in the new testament that he didn't come to remove the law. So you sir are WAY WRONG! If the OT or any of the bible isn't worthy for modern glasses than it is useless and needs to be abolished and destroyed. Christianity is theocratic ever hear of Dominionism or Reconstructionism? Seriously EVIL SHIT!
@GodKillerAtheist Jesus came to fulfill the law. We are not under the OT Mosaic laws anymore, if you think that humanity is, then you need to do study from biblical scholars. This is 101. I'm not arguing this with you because this is basic.
@deyessorc7 "Jesus came to fulfill the law." What law? He plainly states what laws he is talking about if you READ the bible. Jesus was a JEW not a Christian. If Jesus worshiped himself he would technically be a Satanist so when you say you worship Jesus who was a Christian you're actually saying he was Satan. Jesus was talking about the OT laws it's plain as dirt no argument from you is needed so if you can't offer the laws Jesus was talking about then I guess there is nothing to argue. Peace!
@GodKillerAtheist If you think it is God's will for us to "kill gays" or "kill nonbelievers", you are not understanding scripture. Show me one example of this
@deyessorc7 I don't think it's God-thingy's will I think it's some ancient bigoted politics. Personally as a straight guy I don't give two shits to the wind about Gays I don't know why Christians do unless they are hiding some weird secrets, and that shit grosses me out.
@chuber1979 the problem is that according to that myth humans were banished from the garden of eden. The passage doesn't say don't kill everyone on the planet possibly because the fools who wrote the fools book had no concept of a planet
@chuber1979 Well we know that book was written by a primitive who had no concept of modern technology and scientific discoveries. The majority of the bible can be traced back to earlier books like The epic of Gilgamesh, and other Greek fairy tales. The bible is simply a poor word of mouth translation that was stupidly supported because it can be used in politics in the manipulation of stupid people. Yes we can tell what the ancient author was thinking because it is so simple and primitive.
@GodKillerAtheist GDK you are again making assertions without anything to back it up (Christians being "hate-filled"). This is baseless and for every example you give, I can give you one where a Christian isn't being "hate-filled". But neither attests to Christianity being true or not. How Christians act (both good and bad) says nothing about truth. This is a concept you need to understand, as I said, you are making connections that simply don't follow.
@deyessorc7 " and for every example you give, I can give you one where a Christian isn't being "hate-filled" So if a criminal isn't murdering someone on one particular day than he should be expunged from his previous charges? What you're saying makes no sense.
" How Christians act (both good and bad) says nothing about truth" But it does, it shows the truth that what they believe in are all lies so they can do evil.
@GodKillerAtheist I would agree with this. Under atheism, you also cannot say anything else is wrong. Under atheism, since there is "no dogma" (which is debatable, but I'm not going there right now), tell me why torturing a child would be wrong. I asked this earlier, but you didn't answer. (Please don't cite your "feeling: given in your video about prior experience being the reason).
@deyessorc7 Technically torturing a child wouldn't be wrong under atheism Sadly atheism isn't a moral code. That would be like saying under the plumbers code is eating chicken acceptable. Sure it is because plumbing has nothing to do with dietary habits. Most nonbelievers use subjective morals, often called modern morality.
@GodKillerAtheist Furthermore, if there is a truth out there objectively, whether one believes in it does not make said person (atheist, agnostic, believer, blue guy, martian) accountable. If Christianity is true then you are accountable as well regardless of your beliefs. I don't mean that to sound judgemental, I point it out to show how it logically follows.
@deyessorc7 " how people act says NOTHING about one thing's truth value."
Sadly you're wrong. When someone says the bible is true because it's moral and if you don't believe in it I'm going to drown your children slowly in a bucket of water and hang your wife and burn you so you won't have to suffer in hell for eternity. Shows a lot about the things value of truth. Truth is self evident to everyone, Religion isn't therefore religion isn't truth.
@GodKillerAtheist Who said the bible is true because it's moral? I've never said this, nor have I ever met anyone who says this (Christian-wise). We need a chat room.
@deyessorc7 Peace, I am out of this for now, we are going in circles on different tangents which is not fuitful to a central discussion. Have a great Christmas season :).
@GodKillerAtheist I never denied that a new heaven and new earth is what it talks about in revelation. This doesn't mean that the work of Christ is dependent on this, however. What Christ did entering history provided the ability for salvation. Salvation is independent on "the earth being destroyed". You still never pointed out to me where God "treats the earth as a bathroom".
@deyessorc7 " What Christ did entering history provided the ability for salvation"
Empty claim. Can you prove this statement? You can't.
"You still never pointed out to me where God "treats the earth as a bathroom"
But I did, The Idea of Heaven or any BETTER place than this puts forward the mindset that this place is worthless than another. If not than you are saying you don't believe in heaven, in that case we have no argument
@GodKillerAtheist This is an absurd claim. If I feel that living in Hawaii would be better than where I live now, would this mean that I treat my home like a bathroom and trash it? Your claim has absolutely no basis and is illogical to the highest degree.
@GodKillerAtheist You confusing something that 'happens' in the bible with hatred. You are jumping through a few steps to make your case. I don't see the connection with Revelation in which what takes place (and is open to much interpretation, audience as chuber pointed out above, discussion) and "fueling" hatred. If we are to "love our neighbor" as being one of the most important commandment from Christ and take care of those around us with love - I fail to hate here.
@GodKillerAtheist would agree with you that Christians spreading hate is wrong. I would also add that this says nothing about Christianity or the doctrines thereof (not being about hate). This is merely a red herring. I will also add that without the existence of God, what is wrong about hate? On atheism, hate has no objective basis for extistence or even the "wrongness" of hate. Kindly explain to me why it is wrong to hate, on an atheistic worldview.
@chuber1979 Rev 15:5 After this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law—and it was opened. 6 Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues.
Your religion states that Angles guided by Gods LAW are sent to destroy the world. These angles are all the main cults with an apocalyptic world view. God is your excuse to do harm. "rev15:1 seven angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them God’s wrath is completed."
@GodKillerAtheist If I believe that this world is in a corrupted state (I don't think this would be difficult to prove, even without bringing God into the discussion) of some sort, then a redemptive process would be a good thing and so would justice. This alone says nothing about impeeding progress. You are making assumptions again. An apocalyptic event does nothing to take away from striving to help others, love others, fight for justice, etc. It says nothing about
If you think DNA came from a intelligent designer (God-thingy) you then need to prove that designer and that means proving god. Something I've never seen the religious able to do.
@GodKillerAtheist We can't prove God 100%, just like you can't prove evolution 100%. What we can come up with is the best possible explanation based on science. What you fail to realize is that most scientists exclude God as a possibility. Science should be about evaluating evidence then eliminating possibilities.
@chuber1979 Actually evolution has been proven 100% It's been proven 100% since the 80's but like all anti-science people that have been retarded by their religious contradictions you wouldn't know anything about that. You use the benefits of evolution daily. God isn't a possibility because God can't even be coherently defined. It would be like me saying that asdfasdfasdfasdf is a possibility and asdfasdfasdf is greater than god. Can you disprove that statement? no you can't.
So since asdfasdf being greater than god is a possibility by your own logic making god a possibility I can use BASIC logic and dismiss your fictional claim of God.
Why doesn't religion create new technology? Answer: because religion is a lie
What is a scientific alternative to Evolution? Answer: Not God magic
Scientists exclude Your coherently undefined Godthing because logically it invalidates itself by not being coherent and having no evidence for itself. THE END!
@GodKillerAtheist Evolution can't be proven 100% as you stated. Even Richard Dawkins admits this in his books. We can't prove one way or another 100%. Unless you know something Dawkins doesn't. Moreso, evolution still doesn't have an answer as to where anything started from. The Big Bang...what banged? Where did it come from? Code in DNA as stated in this video? We don't look at anything else in the scientific world like the same way. We assume creator everywhere but beginning of the world.
@chuber1979 Well sure there is that .00000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance a magic spell done it POOF! Seriously we can't be indulging in fantasy. Every challenge to evolution has failed and evolution has triumphed 100% of the time. BTW nothing banged you need to go get a basic understanding of science so you would know that spacetime simply expanded from a quantum fluctuation. We know. You don't because you don't bother to do the research you just let your priest tell you.
@GodKillerAtheist I believe in research and studying everything. I believe I could make the same statement to you. You probably just listen to what your science teacher says, right? It's ridiculous how many proven lies are still in textbooks today. But alas, I will address the big bang, which by the way points to a creation. Something out of nothing. Sorry, it doesn't happen. I understand the big band just fine, thank you.
@GodKillerAtheist You're asking me the same questions I can ask you. Neither of us were there so we can't prove this 100%. You can't conduct an experiment of a one time event. Use the scientific method to prove that Abraham Lincoln was shot. None of these work. In science you're supposed to base theories based on known scientific laws, yet evolution is the only theory that is apparently allowed to break these.
@chuber1979 did I hear a DERP in your comment? why yes i did. Theories are hypothesis that have supporting facts. there is no such thing as a scientific law besides determinism and that invalidates your godthings magic spell. you obviously have a misunderstanding of evolution and the scientific method. id put money on it
@GodKillerAtheist I know more about what you believe, than you know about what I believe. I'd put money on it. Also, I know that a theory has evidence to back it up. I never claimed it did not. I did claim that for evolution to be true it had to break natural laws of science that we see in the world today.
@chuber1979 so you know more? then please coherently define your godthing. produce evidence outside of your fools book for its claims...you know you cant so in fact you know nothing at all. There is no such thing as a law of science because science is a method to determine reality and not a dogma like your bible foolishly claiming to already know everything when it has never produced any new technology.
@chuber1979 ...cont also how the hell and in what respect to you even claim evolution is less scientific than your alternative of invisible wizard magic and hatefilled apocalyptic world view?
@GodKillerAtheist It's hard to respond to so much in such a small post. For starters, I don't have a "hatefilled" worldview. That would be your first misperception. Secondly, I'm surprised that you day there are "no such thing as a law of science." So there are absolutely no scientific laws? Is that what you're saying?
@chuber1979 "A scientific law is a statement that explains what something does in science" But there is no such thing as a LAW of science. No one wrote these laws, A law refers to a description of something or of some reaction. The only thing you would consider a law would be a theory. Yes your apocalyptic world view is extremely hateful. You want to destroy all life, and the planet itself to bring back your JESUS myth! How can't that be hateful? Your world view is bent on sabotaging humanity.
@GodKillerAtheist I guess this is the definition I was going by...a phenomenon of nature that has been proven to invariably occur whenever certain conditions exist or are met; also, a formal statement about such a phenomenon
Also, What do you think I believe. Who do you know that wants to destroy all life? Wow!
@chuber1979 " I guess this is the definition I was going by...a phenomenon of nature that has been proven to invariably occur whenever certain conditions exist or are met" then" In science you're supposed to base theories based on known scientific laws, yet evolution is the only theory that is apparently allowed to break these." So obviously you weren't because Evolution is a law by this standard.
"Who do you know that wants to destroy all life? "Christians, apocalyptic world view! Duh!
@GodKillerAtheist 1) Christians do not want to destroy all life. This is a preposterous claim. 2) Evolution is not a law by that standard. Evolution can't be proven to occur whenever certain conditions are met. We were not there at the big bang, nor can we recreate such an event or even the conditions. But we must break known laws for evolution to work accordingly.
@chuber1979 Well if you don't have a bible enforced apocalyptic world view then you're not a true christian. #2biological evolution has nothing to do with the big bang. When you breed a specific trait like a biger pig or smaller dog you prove evolution. When you inherit your fathers heart problem you are the proof of evolution. Evolution isn't proven in your eyes because you obviously have no idea what it is.
@GodKillerAtheist 1) You clearly don't understand Christian theology. 2) There is a difference between macro and micro evolution. You seem to think one proves the other, yes?
@GodKillerAtheist Explain what is a correct "bible enfoced apocalyptic worldview" please. Also, how does Christian eschatology is "hate-filled" exactly. Finally, you do realize that on naturalism, most scientists agree that the universe will end (heat death, etc.) as well, right? Is this some sort of secular, 'hate-filled' speech as well?
@deyessorc7 You believe you have to destroy the world to bring back your myth of Jesus. This is your apocalyptic world view. If you don't follow the bible then you don't have this evil world view where you feel the need to destroy lives. Your world view guides your choices, you don't take responsibility for your actions and your world view supports this evil. Everytime you pray to your wall for forgiveness you fail to learn not to commit the same evil again. You're like a child that flunked out
@GodKillerAtheist Where is is written that I believe that "the world must be destroyed to bring back Jesus"? There is nothing written in the bible that states this is a necessary condition. It is a result, not a necessary condition. Also, you are making a wild assumption that I "feel the need to destroy lives" to bring about goodness. This is a straw man fallacy, nice try.
@deyessorc7 (continued) You are making a leap from A to D (skipping many steps in between). For example: "you don't take responsibility for your actions": huh?? I don't know where to begin
@deyessorc7 (continued) You are making a leap from A to D (skipping many steps in between). For example: "you don't take responsibility for your actions": huh?? I don't know where to begin
If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife. (Deuteronomy 22:23-24)
aww she got raped THEN murdered? god's a loving one eh?
You should not let a sorceress live. (Exodus 22:17)
my bad... i forgot it was a fairytale with wizards and witches.
@JAKEHARRIS281 First, that's not even close to the topic of this YouTube video. Second, interesting read, but horrible theology, most of which makes me want to explain the context of the misinterpreted verses. Thanks for sharing.
While these theories are incomplete, more will come!
Look at William Jennings Bryan, he used this exact same, false method of proof!
It's gotten a lot harder!
Mendelian genetics, function and structure of proteins, structure and method of recombination of DNA, all of these advances have come, and more are to come.
Get a better logical statement than Not p --> q to use, it's absurd, and there are better ones that have been used.
@therohanicelf You sound pretty knowledgeable regarding philosophy. I have much to learn in it myself and have just recently started getting to know basic ideas/arguments.
Tell me, what do you think of the various arguments for God's existence, take the Kalam, the Teleological and the Moral. These are pretty sound arguments that point out x, y, and z (well the teleological one anyway). By taking out y and z, you are left with 'x' - which is God designed.
@therohanicelf Also - the arguemtns for God's existence don't prove him without 100% certainty. Rather it is about seeing where the evidence points to. It is overwhelmingly towards a creator. Of course, others might disagree with this, but I'm very comfortable believing given this, and other things.
Now, the argument is that God could have done it, and it couldn't happen by method x, y, or z..
The problem here is that these two true pieces, while true separately, cannot be placed into the argument: If it wasn't method x, y, or z, then it must have been god.
Not (x, y, or z) --> q.
Not (p) --> q.
Logical equivalence: Not (p) --> q =(p or q)
The only way of proving this statement true would be an EXHAUSTIVE proof, which has NOT been done!
@therohanicelf I wish we would have started these videos sooner. Remember this is number 6 in a series. We started with the evolution of the universe theories and have transitioned into protein and DNA. There is still much more to come.
Thanks for the respectful comments. I, personally, think studying all this science is a necessity to religion and faith. Religion should be more than "blind faith" as Dawkins proclaims.
@SHYPBibleStudy Yes! It is not acceptable to use "just faith" as an answer to questions, perhaps tough ones, and leave it at that. There is solid philosophy and science out there used in argumentation for the existence of God alone. Christians need to learn, research, and learn some more b/c simiple answers just feed into the ignorance and make it all the easier for Dawkins and the like to criticize (1. Peter 3:15).The early Christians understood this all too well.
@SHYPBibleStudy Hey man I really like what you do with science and how you use science method to prove this sort of science wrong when it comes to self organization and what not. But I get the feeling you're missing the bigger picture. God should be your first priority. I'm not saying you're not a christian, nor the kids in the video. But I get the feeling you're christians, but you refer to christianity as a religion. Christ makes it clear that religion, is not his way...
@SHYPBibleStudy Religion is mans way to God. Christianity is Gods way to man. I'm not saying you're wrong in anything that you've stated besides the religion comment. And I'm not trying to fight with you or anything like that, ha your my bro in Christ and thats just not cool to fight with your own bro. But revelation from God is more important than understanding science. As much as you focus on science, you need to focus that much more on The word of God.
@BIGDADDYDUKE2 I assure you that we do focus on Christ. This is one Bible Study out of many. Christ came down and rescued us. I really like how you put it. "Christianity is God's way to man." I couldn't have said it better myself. :)
@SHYPBibleStudy Sweet man, What I said was just a "just in case" Statement. But as far as religion goes, I really don't believe thats of God. You know when Christ came to Earth, in his word we read alot were these religious people were so caught up in their religion that they're doctrine became their God you know what I mean? And Chris was often saying to them "You have heard this, but I tell you this". Alot of things were twisted....
@SHYPBibleStudy Notice God took Elijah and Enoch because they walked close with God all of their lives. Not because they were super religious but because they had a very close relationship with God. God doesn't want religion. Religion is belief in God. But God makes it clear that it takes more than belief, without faith nothing pleases God. How do you get faith in God? By KNOWING him on a PERSONAL level. You know what I mean. I'm just saying all that to say this...
@SHYPBibleStudy Religion really corrupts and separates Gods people. God says we should be one in eachother and we should have the same mind set I guess you can say. I don't remember the exact scripture but I'm sure you've read that scripture. Also I think it was God through peter who said, true religion is taking care of orphans and helping widows. So yeah man.
@BIGDADDYDUKE2 Religion can be corrupt, but remember Jesus' apostles started churches, so that people could support each other in this world and help each other grow in faith. There are churches out there who do it the right way too, don't judge all by the corrupt. God is continuing to straighten us out through our personal relationships with Him everyday. He lived, He Died, He Rose, and He still lives for you and me.
@SHYPBibleStudy Oh yeah fer sure man. But to be honest all of religion is corrupt. Christianity the religion is a corrupt form of Christianity. God said my people need to be one in me. How can we be one when we believe this and others believe that. Yet we all consider our selves christians? When a non believer looks at christianity they might think, God can't be real look what hes doing to people. Or all roads lead back to rome. Christ said I am the way the truth and the life. Not religion...
@SHYPBibleStudy is the way the truth and the life. No where in the bible does it mention catholics, baptist, methodist, penecostal or however you spell it. These are all MAN made, with mans tradition tied into it. Do you remember what Christ told the religious of his day? The pharisees? He said you tie a rope around peoples neck and teach the traditions of man, as though they are the word of God. I think its a slap in the face to God for his people to be divided up and consider themselves...
@SHYPBibleStudy baptist or catholic, more than they do christian. They're so focused on reading the Bible and gaining information from it so they have something to preach. The word of God is not meant to be read so we can all preach. The word of God is there for us to know our creator on a personal level. Religion becomes tradition, and then we start doing dumb things, like scheduling appointments with God. I'll pray at the begining of the day, before I eat, and at the begining of church...
@SHYPBibleStudy Why do we do things like this? Gods in us, we don't need to make appointments, your pray when we're in a bad situation, most people don't even realize what prayer is. Its not blah blah blah, amen. Its a conversation between us and God. You don't have to be saying anything to pray, sometimes its just listening for the voice of God. Yet its been taught as this thing were we just say some words that we might mean and then go on about our day. This is religion and is corrupt.
@BIGDADDYDUKE2 And I think we can have all that you say within the confines of our "church," whatever that may be. God wants fellow Christians to congregate, and that can be anywhere because yes, God is anywhere. Jesus himself practices Jewish traditions and customs. He observed the Sabboth and went to the Synogogue. He celebrated Hannakah and the Passover. Christ rebuked the Pharisees because they were leading people away from God, and certainly there are churches doing that today. But not all.
@SHYPBibleStudy Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that religious christians will go to hell or anything like that. But I think most of them will be decieved. By the way I'm not saying its wrong to follow some traditions. But would Christ participate in anything that was misleading? I follow tradition myself, birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving, its all tradition. But in what way are any of these traditions being taught as the word of God? By the way, church is not a building, we are the church...
@SHYPBibleStudy Some references in the Bible do not actually mean making a building, because a building is not a church. To plant a church sometimes means, guiding people to Christ. Church is just fellowship of the Christians, if you had church under a tree, would you consider that tree your church? We, are having church right now. Though we're not gathering together but we are conversating on the word of God, teaching one another.
@BIGDADDYDUKE2 I agree, church is not a building, but rather a meeting of Christian brothers and sisters. And yes, some churches do have teaching that will deceive. The antiChrist is supposed to come from within the church.
I really can't believe the arrogance. Just for anyone watching this through, everything that kid in the red shirt said about natural selection was incorrect. To demonstrate clearly your ignorance of a subject and then declare it disproven is the most terrifying of arrogance.
Malevolantgoat 1 month ago
@Malevolantgoat What is natural selection then? I guess we were going by Richard Dawkins definition, but possibly you could go into further detail.
SHYPBibleStudy 4 days ago
@SHYPBibleStudy Check out wikipedia dude. What suit jacket guy said was actually correct (though I'm sure he was using this factual set up to spin off into nonsense). Then you cut to red shirt kid, presumably to disprove the notion of natural selection, but he bungled it hopelessly. "things are starting out complex, but they create things that are simpler than them" No, that's simply not true.
Malevolantgoat 4 days ago
@Malevolantgoat I'd have to go back and watch the video again, but I believe he meant that information can be lost but not gained through natural selection. Long haired dogs can mate and lose the DNA code for short hair until they mate with a short haired dog again. However, through natural selection new code that does not already exist does not magically pop up (except through possible mutation, which are not good by the way).
chuber1979 4 days ago
@chuber1979 Yeah he barely mentioned information in there. The problem is that is NONSENSE. The term "information" goes woefully undefined, and thats what this arguments lives on. The truth is evolution (in all its processes) can and does create complexity and nothing about information theory disputes that.
Malevolantgoat 4 days ago
@chuber1979 Further, your description of genetics is inaccurate. A dog doesn't necessarily need to lose "the code for long hair". Hair length is a complex matter and there are likely a number of ways to regulate length without losing a whole gene.
Malevolantgoat 4 days ago
@chuber1979 Laslty, nobody is saying code "magically pops up" its through mutation and selection. This is the arrogance of ignorance I was talking about. Mutations are sometimes good. Mostly their neutral. Sometimes their bad. Natural selection causes the conservation of these beneficial mutations to the genome. Hair length in dogs is a bad example because nearly all species of dog we have today was artificially bred by humans, so variations exist on an unrealistic timespan (I'd imagine).
Malevolantgoat 4 days ago
@Malevolantgoat What are some good mutations that we've seen?
chuber1979 4 days ago
@chuber1979 Antibiotic resistance. As one example in many.
Malevolantgoat 4 days ago
@Malevolantgoat And this is passed onto children through genetic code?
chuber1979 3 days ago
@chuber1979 Of course.
Malevolantgoat 3 days ago
@Malevolantgoat Do you happen to have a link? I've not studied this before.
chuber1979 3 days ago
@chuber1979 Wikipedia is your friend for this and other basics. Its not a controversial or fringe topic. Read the article on "Antibiotic Resistance" and also "Mutation".
Malevolantgoat 3 days ago
@chuber1979 Youtube doesn't allow links, so I was not able to directly link you to them.
Malevolantgoat 3 days ago
@Malevolantgoat Two things I discovered in my quick wiki-read and further research. 1) the bacteria evolution is dependent on an outside source - us 2) when the bacteria becomes resistant it loses another function, so it's still not gaining information. This is interesting reading though, and I'll continue to look at this.
chuber1979 3 days ago
@chuber1979 THe first point is both untrue and irrelevant. There are naturally existing antibiotics or antibiotic factors. But as I said that's irrelevant, why do you think it matters if a person is involved, and how do you think that stops it from demonstrating natural selection? The second point you made is untrue. If you would like to quote me the bit you're inferring this from, I'd be happy to explain it.
Malevolantgoat 3 days ago
@chuber1979 and I may have misunderstood what you meant by dependent on an outside source. It is dependent upon mutation and natural selection. The selective pressure is, of course, an outside source but thats how natural selection works (If that's what you meant)
Malevolantgoat 3 days ago
@Malevolantgoat I will PM you a link for you to explain to me.

(I meant to write "how is Christian eschatology hate-filled" exactly)
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@deyessorc7 because your dogma hates the natural humanistic way and has a doctrine opposed to humanity. Your dogma sets up a situation where you cannot have your god return until the planet is destroyed, this apocalyptic world view is hateful of all life, and human progress ever! The only real question is, how is your apocalyptic world view not hate filled evil? Can you answer that?
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist God charges us to take care of the world, not destroy it. You have a gross misunderstanding of the Biblical text. Yes, we believe Jesus will return, and THEN yes, this broken world will be destroyed. But it will then be replaced with a new earth. The fact that we believe this will happen does not mean we are filled with hate. Just because one believes a murderer will murder again does not make them hate-filled. We are not to destroy; we are to take care of God's creation.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 so you admit you have an apocalyptic world view and yet you dont seem to understand how it is harmful? This is proof enough to me that your mind has been corrupted with this immoral dogma of hate. If you want to take care of the natural world then you must remove the part in your bible that supports it.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist GK - Do you believe that the universe will come to an end eventually (including everything in it) by some means? My second question is, since you say "Jesus myth" is that do you believe that Jesus was a real person in history?
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist (I'm so sorry to harp on this, but you are making so many straw men here - you are saying "what" we believe as Christians, and then attacking this. Yet these assumptions are flat wrong!! In order to be taken seriously, you need to find a better tactic, fyi).
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@deyessorc7 look you're the one who admitted to having an apocalyptic world view. If that fact makes you feel dirty or ashamed then that sounds like a personal problem. Don't. Try to push the blame of your evil worl view off on to me by stating I'm making steaw men when its plain to see I'm not because I haven't.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Hate - to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest. Would you agree with this definition? If you do then I do not feel hate toward this earth. If you do not, please tell me what your definition of hate is.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@chuber1979 Hate- Denoting hostile actions motivated by intense dislike or prejudice
your prejudice towards those you fail to convince fuels your hatred. When I say those I also mean those facts in nature, science and reality that your cult dislikes because it cannot refute, coexist or contend with. This is what I mean by Hate the world so You destroy it to bring back the myth of Jesus. You hate what opposes your apocalyptic world view and that would be the world itself.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist This is not Biblical. We do not destroy the world to "speed up the process." Nor should we hate those we can't convince. Now, I will admit that there are Christians that do this, however, this is not the Biblical method. By the way, Jesus does not come back after the world is destroyed. If you think this is in the Bible somewhere I'd like to see the verse. In fact, the disciples thought Jesus was going to come back within their lifetime.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 Rev 15:5 After this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law—and it was opened. 6 Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues.
You're religion states that Angles guided by Gods LAW are sent to destroy the world. These angles are all the main cults with an apocalyptic world view. God is your excuse to do harm. "rev15:1 seven angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them God’s wrath is completed."
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist I can search thru 4 different commentaries on these verses and get 4 different interpretations. Why? Because it's Revelations and mostly symbolic. I'll come back to your interp in a moment. First of all, who was John writing this to? You and me? No! He was writing to Christians at the time. Well then why the symbolism? Because John was in prison on Patmos and he was sending letters that, if intercepted would be destroyed. He's talking about Rome mostly. Now...continued below...
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 Ill agree with you on your interpretation fallacy. We don't need the bible to make a case for christian hate we just have to look at all the hate that's done by christians.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Even if I were to interpret as you did, I see no reason for me to "hate" or try to "destroy" the world. It's merely a prediction of what will happen, it's not an ordain. In fact, God asks us to take care of His world, not try to destroy it. So if this is the correct interpretation, which we can't be sure of, then it still doesn't have a message of hatred. No church doctrine comes from Revelation for a reason.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 This is my exact point - just because something is occuring in the future (per the message in revelation) and the event take place of destruction, this does not follow that we, as Christians are to hate others. This does not follow that for the second coming to take place we must hate others. You are building straw men.
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@chuber1979 the bible god doesn't say to take care of the world he says to use it like a rest stop bathroom on the way to a better place. Also the apocalyptic world view that is a sole part of christianity makes your points moot.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Where in the bible does it say this? Also how is eschatology (christian) the "sole part of christianity" as you say? You never answered my question from before as it pertains to this: Is it not the view of cosmology/physicists that the universe will end on its own, thus ending human existence? If this is the case (it is), then they are fueling hate as well. See how silly this sounds?
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@deyessorc7 well belief in christ means you have to kill the planet to bring him back. The bible has several verses regarding this but you already dissmissed one that I posted so you'll do the same regardless. I don't have to use the bible to see what your cult does I just have to see what they do
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist The Bible has ZERO verses saying we should kill the planet. The verse you cited gave no directive to destroy the planet. Go back and read the verse. It does not say we should kill the planet. God NEVER says this. You are making arguments for hatred that have nothing to do with the Bible and everything to do with stupid Christians who do stupid things. There are also stupid atheists who do stupid things. Let's establish that stupid people do stupid things, and move on.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 The bible has tons of evil but it has ZERO verses that say not to destroy the planet or kill all the people on it. I'm making an argument for humanity if you feel that's hatred then that shows your true colors. An Atheist is anyone you haven't convinced so it's not the same. Christians are following a hate filled dogma that says to destroy the world. Atheists are people Christians HAVEN'T convinced they are normal people who the Christian FAILED to convince. BIG DIFFERENCE!
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist You are not making any sense. The Bible does NOT have hate filled dogma. I think we've established this, yet you keep saying it. Saying does not make it true. I also am making an argument for humanity. By you arguing with me, does this show your true colors? Do you not see that we believe the same thing about humanity and the planet? PS I don't understand what your big difference is. I know what an atheist is, and I agree with your statement about them.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 huh? Did you just copy and paste my last comment? So the bible doesn't say kill nnonbelievers, gays, people who wear mixed fabric etc, etc! The contridictions in the bible aren't even what I care about. I can see how christians act and what they do to others.I'm not arguing the bible I'm arguing the actions
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist I will argue actions with you, if you want. Like I said there are stupid Christians. They do stupid things. They don't treat gays and atheists with love. They judge and condemn people to hell. But this is not what they should be doing; this is not what Jesus taught. In fact, he hung out with "those" people, and taught a different message than what the Pharisees were. Just like today. We have many Pharisees who teach bad doctrine.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 John 14:15 Jesus says, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." The commandments are a evil set of dogmatic immoral actions that if not kept will bring the punishment of murder to the person who disobeyed and possibly to his whole family.
Ezekiel 18:30 “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each according to his conduct,” declares the Lord GOD"
So by this passage Christians with bad conduct are hypocrites. I've only seen about .01% who have any decent conduct whatsoever
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Many Christians don't have decent conduct. Agreed. We are all sinners, and many don't act appropriately. Agreed.
God's commandments are not evil and immoral. It's also easy to cherrypick verses out of context and cultural context.
chuber1979 2 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@chuber1979 "God's commandments are not evil and immoral." Well if a GOD actually wrote them then yes he would be immoral.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Good example. First of all her soul will be saved either way, because Jesus died to pay for our sins. Secondly, just as in real life there are rules, but there are exceptions to those rules. We don't write exceptions into our laws, because that would be silly. God judges not on our actions, but reads our heart. Now, technically as Christians we should help her out, but I suppose in a vacuum "stealing" would be the option she should and would need to choose.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 I noticed how you didn't actually decide what was the more moral option. Children starving or theft. The analogy was to show how immoral Christianity is so if you agree it's a good example then I really can't argue. I know actions don't mean anything to a Christian because that would mean they couldn't hide their immorality behind a guise of morality. All that is required is belief and faith that Jesus died for your sins regardless of how many people you murder or children you rape
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist In our society it's against the law to kill. Is there not an exception for self-defense? How is this any different? Or should I make you decide which is moral. To put the person who defending himself to death? Biblical Laws are not hard and fast with no exception, just like todays are not. So yes, I did answer your question. The moral option was to feel your children.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 so now you're using modern subjective morality instead of dogmatic or primitive morality. Yes, dogmatic morals must be followed to the T. This is what makes them dogmatic they have no moral alternative and thus feeding your children by thieft would be immoral
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist You're applying your own standards to this as well. I don't see what your point is. God judges our hearts, not our actions. It's always been this way. Modern or Ancient. Doesn't matter. Morality is the same.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 the heart is a pump god is an incoherency. My main point is that your cult isn't moral nor does it teach morality. What it does is teach pretend morality that makes you feel like you've done good when you're actually hurting and killinging everyon for your apocalyptic world view
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist You can keep saying it, but it doesn't make it true. I'm not hurting or killing anyone. I follow what the Bible teaches, and you clearly don't know what the Bible teaches.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 Personally, no you may not be killing anyone or mutilating the genitals of children. But you do support it by being a christian who doesn't speak up for common sense. So you're worse than those who are actually doing these evils that the bible teaches.
Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel.(Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT) Obviously you don't know the bible.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago

You do realize that The Jews were under a theocracy and those rules don't apply to use now, right?
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@deyessorc7 "You are pointing out levitical laws which is an entirely different discussion." WRONG! Jesus said clearly in the new testament that he didn't come to remove the law. So you sir are WAY WRONG! If the OT or any of the bible isn't worthy for modern glasses than it is useless and needs to be abolished and destroyed. Christianity is theocratic ever hear of Dominionism or Reconstructionism? Seriously EVIL SHIT!
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Jesus came to fulfill the law. We are not under the OT Mosaic laws anymore, if you think that humanity is, then you need to do study from biblical scholars. This is 101. I'm not arguing this with you because this is basic.
deyessorc7 2 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@deyessorc7 "Jesus came to fulfill the law." What law?

@GodKillerAtheist Continued....Genesis 2:15 "The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it."
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 the problem is that according to that myth humans were banished from the garden of eden. The passage doesn't say don't kill everyone on the planet possibly because the fools who wrote the fools book had no concept of a planet
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist "possibly" - so now we're guessing as to what an ancient author was thinking?
chuber1979 2 months ago
@chuber1979 Well we know that book was written by a primitive who had no concept of modern technology and scientific discoveries. The majority of the bible can be traced back to earlier books like The epic of Gilgamesh, and other Greek fairy tales. The bible is simply a poor word of mouth translation that was stupidly supported because it can be used in politics in the manipulation of stupid people. Yes we can tell what the ancient author was thinking because it is so simple and primitive.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist GDK you are again making assertions without anything to back it up (Christians being "hate-filled"). This is baseless and for every example you give, I can give you one where a Christian isn't being "hate-filled". But neither attests to Christianity being true or not. How Christians act (both good and bad) says nothing about truth. This is a concept you need to understand, as I said, you are making connections that simply don't follow.
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@deyessorc7 " and for every example you give, I can give you one where a Christian isn't being "hate-filled" So if a criminal isn't murdering someone on one particular day than he should be expunged from his previous charges? What you're saying makes no sense.
" How Christians act (both good and bad) says nothing about truth" But it does, it shows the truth that what they believe in are all lies so they can do evil.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Wait, so Christians that "act bad" are a testament to Christianity not being true? Am I understanding you correctly with this?
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@deyessorc7 Yep. Ever hear of the word "hypocrite"? This doesn't apply to Atheism because Atheists aka nonbelievers have no dogma stating anything.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist I would agree with this. Under atheism, you also cannot say anything else is wrong. Under atheism, since there is "no dogma" (which is debatable, but I'm not going there right now), tell me why torturing a child would be wrong. I asked this earlier, but you didn't answer. (Please don't cite your "feeling: given in your video about prior experience being the reason).
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@deyessorc7 Technically torturing a child wouldn't be wrong under atheism Sadly atheism isn't a moral code. That would be like saying under the plumbers code is eating chicken acceptable. Sure it is because plumbing has nothing to do with dietary habits. Most nonbelievers use subjective morals, often called modern morality.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Furthermore, if there is a truth out there objectively, whether one believes in it does not make said person (atheist, agnostic, believer, blue guy, martian) accountable. If Christianity is true then you are accountable as well regardless of your beliefs. I don't mean that to sound judgemental, I point it out to show how it logically follows.
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Also, I will say this again, how people act says NOTHING about one thing's truth value. This simply does not follow at all!!
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@deyessorc7 " how people act says NOTHING about one thing's truth value."
Sadly you're wrong. When someone says the bible is true because it's moral and if you don't believe in it I'm going to drown your children slowly in a bucket of water and hang your wife and burn you so you won't have to suffer in hell for eternity. Shows a lot about the things value of truth. Truth is self evident to everyone, Religion isn't therefore religion isn't truth.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Who said the bible is true because it's moral? I've never said this, nor have I ever met anyone who says this (Christian-wise). We need a chat room.

@deyessorc7 Peace, I am out of this for now, we are going in circles on different tangents which is not fuitful to a central discussion. Have a great Christmas season :).
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist I never denied that a new heaven and new earth is what it talks about in revelation. This doesn't mean that the work of Christ is dependent on this, however. What Christ did entering history provided the ability for salvation. Salvation is independent on "the earth being destroyed". You still never pointed out to me where God "treats the earth as a bathroom".
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@deyessorc7 " What Christ did entering history provided the ability for salvation"
Empty claim. Can you prove this statement? You can't.
"You still never pointed out to me where God "treats the earth as a bathroom"
But I did, The Idea of Heaven or any BETTER place than this puts forward the mindset that this place is worthless than another. If not than you are saying you don't believe in heaven, in that case we have no argument
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist This is an absurd claim. If I feel that living in Hawaii would be better than where I live now, would this mean that I treat my home like a bathroom and trash it? Your claim has absolutely no basis and is illogical to the highest degree.
chuber1979 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist You confusing something that 'happens' in the bible with hatred. You are jumping through a few steps to make your case. I don't see the connection with Revelation in which what takes place (and is open to much interpretation, audience as chuber pointed out above, discussion) and "fueling" hatred. If we are to "love our neighbor" as being one of the most important commandment from Christ and take care of those around us with love - I fail to hate here.
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@deyessorc7 no you're right we don't need to interpet parts of the bible to see all the hate that christians produce we just have to look around.
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago

GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist If I believe that this world is in a corrupted state (I don't think this would be difficult to prove, even without bringing God into the discussion) of some sort, then a redemptive process would be a good thing and so would justice. This alone says nothing about impeeding progress. You are making assumptions again. An apocalyptic event does nothing to take away from striving to help others, love others, fight for justice, etc. It says nothing about

deyessorc7 2 months ago
The chance that these particles self arranged is less of a chance than the chance that a All powerful all knowing God did it with a magic spell.
Also Christians are using the wrong definition of the word CODE in regards to DNA. Code is an assignment of, not a program in.
GodKillerAtheist 4 months ago
If you think DNA came from a intelligent designer (God-thingy) you then need to prove that designer and that means proving god. Something I've never seen the religious able to do.
GodKillerAtheist 4 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist We can't prove God 100%, just like you can't prove evolution 100%. What we can come up with is the best possible explanation based on science. What you fail to realize is that most scientists exclude God as a possibility. Science should be about evaluating evidence then eliminating possibilities.
chuber1979 3 months ago
@chuber1979 Actually evolution has been proven 100% It's been proven 100% since the 80's but like all anti-science people that have been retarded by their religious contradictions you wouldn't know anything about that. You use the benefits of evolution daily. God isn't a possibility because God can't even be coherently defined. It would be like me saying that asdfasdfasdfasdf is a possibility and asdfasdfasdf is greater than god. Can you disprove that statement? no you can't.
GodKillerAtheist 3 months ago
@chuber1979 ....Cont
THE END!
GodKillerAtheist 3 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Evolution can't be proven 100% as you stated. Even Richard Dawkins admits this in his books. We can't prove one way or another 100%. Unless you know something Dawkins doesn't. Moreso, evolution still doesn't have an answer as to where anything started from. The Big Bang...what banged? Where did it come from? Code in DNA as stated in this video? We don't look at anything else in the scientific world like the same way. We assume creator everywhere but beginning of the world.
chuber1979 3 months ago
@chuber1979 Well sure there is that .00000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance a magic spell done it POOF! Seriously we can't be indulging in fantasy. Every challenge to evolution has failed and evolution has triumphed 100% of the time. BTW nothing banged you need to go get a basic understanding of science so you would know that spacetime simply expanded from a quantum fluctuation. We know. You don't because you don't bother to do the research you just let your priest tell you.
GodKillerAtheist 3 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist I believe in research and studying everything. I believe I could make the same statement to you. You probably just listen to what your science teacher says, right? It's ridiculous how many proven lies are still in textbooks today. But alas, I will address the big bang, which by the way points to a creation. Something out of nothing. Sorry, it doesn't happen. I understand the big band just fine, thank you.
chuber1979 3 months ago
@chuber1979 ok then lets apply the scientific method to creationism. describe the supporting evidence for god magic
GodKillerAtheist 3 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist You're asking me the same questions I can ask you. Neither of us were there so we can't prove this 100%. You can't conduct an experiment of a one time event. Use the scientific method to prove that Abraham Lincoln was shot. None of these work. In science you're supposed to base theories based on known scientific laws, yet evolution is the only theory that is apparently allowed to break these.
chuber1979 3 months ago
@chuber1979 did I hear a DERP in your comment? why yes i did. Theories are hypothesis that have supporting facts. there is no such thing as a scientific law besides determinism and that invalidates your godthings magic spell. you obviously have a misunderstanding of evolution and the scientific method. id put money on it
GodKillerAtheist 3 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist I know more about what you believe, than you know about what I believe. I'd put money on it. Also, I know that a theory has evidence to back it up. I never claimed it did not. I did claim that for evolution to be true it had to break natural laws of science that we see in the world today.
chuber1979 3 months ago
@chuber1979 so you know more? then please coherently define your godthing. produce evidence outside of your fools book for its claims...you know you cant so in fact you know nothing at all. There is no such thing as a law of science because science is a method to determine reality and not a dogma like your bible foolishly claiming to already know everything when it has never produced any new technology.
GodKillerAtheist 3 months ago
@chuber1979 ...cont also how the hell and in what respect to you even claim evolution is less scientific than your alternative of invisible wizard magic and hatefilled apocalyptic world view?
GodKillerAtheist 3 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist It's hard to respond to so much in such a small post. For starters, I don't have a "hatefilled" worldview. That would be your first misperception. Secondly, I'm surprised that you day there are "no such thing as a law of science." So there are absolutely no scientific laws? Is that what you're saying?
chuber1979 3 months ago
@chuber1979 "A scientific law is a statement that explains what something does in science" But there is no such thing as a LAW of science. No one wrote these laws, A law refers to a description of something or of some reaction. The only thing you would consider a law would be a theory. Yes your apocalyptic world view is extremely hateful. You want to destroy all life, and the planet itself to bring back your JESUS myth! How can't that be hateful? Your world view is bent on sabotaging humanity.
GodKillerAtheist 3 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist I guess this is the definition I was going by...a phenomenon of nature that has been proven to invariably occur whenever certain conditions exist or are met; also, a formal statement about such a phenomenon
Also, What do you think I believe. Who do you know that wants to destroy all life? Wow!
chuber1979 3 months ago
@chuber1979 " I guess this is the definition I was going by...a phenomenon of nature that has been proven to invariably occur whenever certain conditions exist or are met" then" In science you're supposed to base theories based on known scientific laws, yet evolution is the only theory that is apparently allowed to break these." So obviously you weren't because Evolution is a law by this standard.
"Who do you know that wants to destroy all life? "Christians, apocalyptic world view! Duh!
GodKillerAtheist 3 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist 1) Christians do not want to destroy all life. This is a preposterous claim. 2) Evolution is not a law by that standard. Evolution can't be proven to occur whenever certain conditions are met. We were not there at the big bang, nor can we recreate such an event or even the conditions. But we must break known laws for evolution to work accordingly.
chuber1979 3 months ago
@chuber1979 Well if you don't have a bible enforced apocalyptic world view then you're not a true christian. #2biological evolution has nothing to do with the big bang. When you breed a specific trait like a biger pig or smaller dog you prove evolution. When you inherit your fathers heart problem you are the proof of evolution. Evolution isn't proven in your eyes because you obviously have no idea what it is.
GodKillerAtheist 3 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist 1) You clearly don't understand Christian theology. 2) There is a difference between macro and micro evolution. You seem to think one proves the other, yes?
chuber1979 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Explain what is a correct "bible enfoced apocalyptic worldview" please. Also, how does Christian eschatology is "hate-filled" exactly. Finally, you do realize that on naturalism, most scientists agree that the universe will end (heat death, etc.) as well, right? Is this some sort of secular, 'hate-filled' speech as well?
deyessorc7 2 months ago
@deyessorc7 You believe you have to destroy the world to bring back your myth of Jesus. This is your apocalyptic world view. If you don't follow the bible then you don't have this evil world view where you feel the need to destroy lives. Your world view guides your choices, you don't take responsibility for your actions and your world view supports this evil. Everytime you pray to your wall for forgiveness you fail to learn not to commit the same evil again. You're like a child that flunked out
GodKillerAtheist 2 months ago
@GodKillerAtheist Where is is written that I believe that "the world must be destroyed to bring back Jesus"? There is nothing written in the bible that states this is a necessary condition. It is a result, not a necessary condition. Also, you are making a wild assumption that I "feel the need to destroy lives" to bring about goodness. This is a straw man fallacy, nice try.

Science has been advancing this entire time.
While these theories are incomplete, more will come!
Look at William Jennings Bryan, he used this exact same, false method of proof!
It's gotten a lot harder!
Mendelian genetics, function and structure of proteins, structure and method of recombination of DNA, all of these advances have come, and more are to come.
Get a better logical statement than Not p --> q to use, it's absurd, and there are better ones that have been used.
therohanicelf 1 year ago
@therohanicelf You sound pretty knowledgeable regarding philosophy. I have much to learn in it myself and have just recently started getting to know basic ideas/arguments.
Tell me, what do you think of the various arguments for God's existence, take the Kalam, the Teleological and the Moral. These are pretty sound arguments that point out x, y, and z (well the teleological one anyway). By taking out y and z, you are left with 'x' - which is God designed.
deyessorc7 1 year ago
@therohanicelf Also - the arguemtns for God's existence don't prove him without 100% certainty. Rather it is about seeing where the evidence points to. It is overwhelmingly towards a creator. Of course, others might disagree with this, but I'm very comfortable believing given this, and other things.
deyessorc7 1 year ago
An exhaustive proof involves testing ALL possibilities, whereas only 3 have been scientifically examined.
If you want to use this form of a logical statement for your argument, you have to recognize that it is NOT a proof, merely just another statement!
therohanicelf 1 year ago
Now, the argument is that God could have done it, and it couldn't happen by method x, y, or z..
The problem here is that these two true pieces, while true separately, cannot be placed into the argument: If it wasn't method x, y, or z, then it must have been god.
Not (x, y, or z) --> q.
Not (p) --> q.
Logical equivalence: Not (p) --> q =(p or q)
The only way of proving this statement true would be an EXHAUSTIVE proof, which has NOT been done!
therohanicelf 1 year ago
I appreciate your dedication to science, but all logical arguments for this kind of thing fail, no matter what happens.
This is what you are saying:
It couldn't happen by method x, y, or z. (This is a scientific argument, and can be considered valid)
It is possible that God did it. (Given the limited premise for now, certainly a valid argument.)
Set these two arguments to P and Q, respectively.
therohanicelf 1 year ago
@therohanicelf I wish we would have started these videos sooner. Remember this is number 6 in a series. We started with the evolution of the universe theories and have transitioned into protein and DNA. There is still much more to come.
Thanks for the respectful comments. I, personally, think studying all this science is a necessity to religion and faith. Religion should be more than "blind faith" as Dawkins proclaims.
SHYPBibleStudy 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy Yes! It is not acceptable to use "just faith" as an answer to questions, perhaps tough ones, and leave it at that. There is solid philosophy and science out there used in argumentation for the existence of God alone. Christians need to learn, research, and learn some more b/c simiple answers just feed into the ignorance and make it all the easier for Dawkins and the like to criticize (1. Peter 3:15).The early Christians understood this all too well.
deyessorc7 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy Hey man I really like what you do with science and how you use science method to prove this sort of science wrong when it comes to self organization and what not. But I get the feeling you're missing the bigger picture. God should be your first priority. I'm not saying you're not a christian, nor the kids in the video. But I get the feeling you're christians, but you refer to christianity as a religion. Christ makes it clear that religion, is not his way...
BIGDADDYDUKE2 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy Religion is mans way to God. Christianity is Gods way to man. I'm not saying you're wrong in anything that you've stated besides the religion comment. And I'm not trying to fight with you or anything like that, ha your my bro in Christ and thats just not cool to fight with your own bro. But revelation from God is more important than understanding science. As much as you focus on science, you need to focus that much more on The word of God.
BIGDADDYDUKE2 1 year ago
@BIGDADDYDUKE2 I assure you that we do focus on Christ. This is one Bible Study out of many. Christ came down and rescued us. I really like how you put it. "Christianity is God's way to man." I couldn't have said it better myself. :)
SHYPBibleStudy 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy Sweet man, What I said was just a "just in case" Statement. But as far as religion goes, I really don't believe thats of God. You know when Christ came to Earth, in his word we read alot were these religious people were so caught up in their religion that they're doctrine became their God you know what I mean? And Chris was often saying to them "You have heard this, but I tell you this". Alot of things were twisted....
BIGDADDYDUKE2 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy Notice God took Elijah and Enoch because they walked close with God all of their lives. Not because they were super religious but because they had a very close relationship with God. God doesn't want religion. Religion is belief in God. But God makes it clear that it takes more than belief, without faith nothing pleases God. How do you get faith in God? By KNOWING him on a PERSONAL level. You know what I mean. I'm just saying all that to say this...
BIGDADDYDUKE2 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy Religion really corrupts and separates Gods people. God says we should be one in eachother and we should have the same mind set I guess you can say. I don't remember the exact scripture but I'm sure you've read that scripture. Also I think it was God through peter who said, true religion is taking care of orphans and helping widows. So yeah man.
BIGDADDYDUKE2 1 year ago
@BIGDADDYDUKE2 Religion can be corrupt, but remember Jesus' apostles started churches, so that people could support each other in this world and help each other grow in faith. There are churches out there who do it the right way too, don't judge all by the corrupt. God is continuing to straighten us out through our personal relationships with Him everyday. He lived, He Died, He Rose, and He still lives for you and me.
SHYPBibleStudy 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy Oh yeah fer sure man. But to be honest all of religion is corrupt. Christianity the religion is a corrupt form of Christianity. God said my people need to be one in me. How can we be one when we believe this and others believe that. Yet we all consider our selves christians? When a non believer looks at christianity they might think, God can't be real look what hes doing to people. Or all roads lead back to rome. Christ said I am the way the truth and the life. Not religion...
BIGDADDYDUKE2 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy is the way the truth and the life. No where in the bible does it mention catholics, baptist, methodist, penecostal or however you spell it. These are all MAN made, with mans tradition tied into it. Do you remember what Christ told the religious of his day? The pharisees? He said you tie a rope around peoples neck and teach the traditions of man, as though they are the word of God. I think its a slap in the face to God for his people to be divided up and consider themselves...
BIGDADDYDUKE2 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy baptist or catholic, more than they do christian. They're so focused on reading the Bible and gaining information from it so they have something to preach. The word of God is not meant to be read so we can all preach. The word of God is there for us to know our creator on a personal level. Religion becomes tradition, and then we start doing dumb things, like scheduling appointments with God. I'll pray at the begining of the day, before I eat, and at the begining of church...
BIGDADDYDUKE2 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy Why do we do things like this? Gods in us, we don't need to make appointments, your pray when we're in a bad situation, most people don't even realize what prayer is. Its not blah blah blah, amen. Its a conversation between us and God. You don't have to be saying anything to pray, sometimes its just listening for the voice of God. Yet its been taught as this thing were we just say some words that we might mean and then go on about our day. This is religion and is corrupt.
BIGDADDYDUKE2 1 year ago
@BIGDADDYDUKE2 And I think we can have all that you say within the confines of our "church," whatever that may be. God wants fellow Christians to congregate, and that can be anywhere because yes, God is anywhere. Jesus himself practices Jewish traditions and customs. He observed the Sabboth and went to the Synogogue. He celebrated Hannakah and the Passover. Christ rebuked the Pharisees because they were leading people away from God, and certainly there are churches doing that today. But not all.
SHYPBibleStudy 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that religious christians will go to hell or anything like that. But I think most of them will be decieved. By the way I'm not saying its wrong to follow some traditions. But would Christ participate in anything that was misleading? I follow tradition myself, birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving, its all tradition. But in what way are any of these traditions being taught as the word of God? By the way, church is not a building, we are the church...
BIGDADDYDUKE2 1 year ago
@SHYPBibleStudy Some references in the Bible do not actually mean making a building, because a building is not a church. To plant a church sometimes means, guiding people to Christ. Church is just fellowship of the Christians, if you had church under a tree, would you consider that tree your church? We, are having church right now. Though we're not gathering together but we are conversating on the word of God, teaching one another.
BIGDADDYDUKE2 1 year ago
@BIGDADDYDUKE2 I agree, church is not a building, but rather a meeting of Christian brothers and sisters. And yes, some churches do have teaching that will deceive. The antiChrist is supposed to come from within the church.
