Like someone else said earlier, why don't they release the the on board footage of the whole lap? start to finish. That would be awesome. I noticed the onboard camera quality wasn't great so maybe there was some technical difficulties there. I can lap it inn 7.05 in gt4. Yeah I'm awesome ;-)
No argument there. I thought this would be a continuous video of the lap, mostly onboard with a few cameras by the side of the track every 2 minutes or so. This was all chopped up though.
I mean, it's cool they did it. Ever since I played GT4 with a Formula car on the 'Ring I thought it'd be awesome to see some real footage of a modern F1 car lapping the Nordschleife, but I can't agree with the way this was presented.
What the? Heidfeld did his flying lap in 8m34s.That is slower than say a Honda/Acura NSX-R (7m56s) or a 911 Turbo (~7m40s). I expected the F1 car to do it in the 5min range at least.

It was not a full hot lap. Plus he was on Bridgestone Demonstrator tires. AND he had camera cars to slow down and pass a couple of times for footage.
AND he was to stay out of the bowl of the carrousel
AND he was to NOT go all out.
