This came out in the late 80s not the 90s. Yes he would've been considered one of the best by all indications from this freshman lp. This is one of the greatest rap albums of all time. The accident was very tragic but who knows maybe had it not happened he might've ended up like Tupac a gifted legend that died too soon. Atleast he stayed in rap writing huge hits for over 20 years. The bigger shame is the lack of recognition he got for that and maybe lack of adequate pay. I love classic rap.

You had to flow, have stage presence, battle, write well. You had to be an all-around artist. Do you think Dr. Dre produces for the average rapper? Hell no.
