@Liz5579 The problem is you already have a strong, yet false, pre-existing view on the matter. A view completely dictated by the so called official history, that is, naturally, written by winners. It doesn't help that you're even an American. Americans don't tend to be very open-minded towards even more "traditional" Socialism. I'd have to start from scratch, so to speak.
