@midprod Jackie Brown was based on the book "Rum Punch", written by Elmore Leonard. There are many changes made from the book, most notably that Jackie Brown was actually called Jackie Burke, and was white. Lots of subplots were cut out from the book (Such as Max Cherry's relationship with his ex-wife, and that of his connection to Louis). P.S. Michael Keaton, who plays Ray, makes a cameo appearance in "Out of Sight", which was also written by Leonard, playing the same character.
