Revelation 22:16 also says “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”

You are also right about Revelation saying that Jesus is the "Bright and Morning Star" but if you do a little research Lucifer/Satan is also known as" the morning star" specifically as it applies to Venus. The Eastern Star is also another name for Venus. Look up their symbolism. "Jesus is the Brighter Morning Star"

I don't think he meant it like that. Just like god is not the 'miracles and wonders' he is not the 'universe'. He's using these terms to express that god is the cause of everything.

No offense, but that logic would lead to some seriously problematic theology, to say the least. I was curious enough to email Mark, and I got the response (I think it was him, could have been an aid or something) that what he meant was that God existed before the universe.
This is not, Mark Schultz, but I actually liked this one just as much. It's a little bit more chill, as Marks version tend to be a little strenuous at times with his high pitch voice.

I don't think he meant it like that. Just like god is not the 'miracles and wonders' he is not the 'universe'. He's using these terms to express that god is the cause of everything.
John 13 says:Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
Those parts of the song are meant to be used as symbolism for gods wonders and majesty. I mean, imagine if you looked at it literally. Mark Schultz would be calling himself god. Please don't try to over analyze things.

@JTTNMinistries don't be so quick to speak. that's spoken against in the bible. consider the context of the lyrics and it's easy he's not claiming God IS the universe but rather the universe's effector. making snap judgments without forethought is foolish.. especially with accusations as bold and serious as blasphemy and paganistic. that's not properly reflective of our Father.

I think what he means is: because God created the universe, everything has been given thought be Him, everything has a part of God in them - so, in essence, God is the universe. ;) God bless

No offense, but that logic would lead to some seriously problematic theology, to say the least. I was curious enough to email Mark, and I got the response (I think it was him, could have been an aid or something) that what he meant was that God existed before the universe.
