When you're sent to prison they ask what your religious faith if any you have, in order to keep people of different faiths that might cause tension apart. It's from these testimonials they get the percentage. And in 2009 it was 99,8 theist vs 0,2% Atheist.

I have to get this off my chest, you can not say atheism is responsible for the deaths under communism. Communism replaces the worship of a god with the worship of The State. The reason communist deny the existence of god is because it would take away from the worship of the State. Communism is a secular religion, and a religion is a religion.

If you're referring to the abolishment of state religion, I already explained that that was because he didn't want any powers to challenge his authority, and a state religion is a very powerful and influential force over politics.

@dex1391 It was other Nazi officers who were into the occult stuff, Hitler admonished them several times for it. He shut down churches so they couldn't challenge their power. I've looked it up and haven't found any information on the HY being forced to renounce their faith. And saying that Hitler "removed clergy from power" is deceptive, as he removed ANYONE from power who he thought would be a threat to him, clergy or otherwise. Hitler got married in his bunker while under siege

that depends, there are alot of wars like the 30 years war which was like 10 different wars that (not each one) continued for 30 years. I also cant really count up every single war in the world, but i can count about every european war. If i had to guess, i would say 90%. There are a ton of wars out there and for some you could debate wether they were religious. Did russia help out the balkan states because there both orthodox Christians, or because they wanted a warm water port?

Why do u think people fought in those wars? They fought because they were told thats what a good christian does, they were told his beliefs conflict with yours. Religion has been used to control the masses, and instigate wars. I've already stated that even if the 17% is true, its still completly inane because relgion was still used to control the population to fight those wars. Take the crusades, a war fought over the catholic churches greed, but without religion it never would have happened. Those are the kinds of things that, that statistic is overlooking.

I read a book saying free market capitalism is the only economic system that works, i also read anohter book that only regulated capitalism will work, how can this be there both are books and so they must both be 100% true?
