i know this is a limited statue, 500 made, but why is it so expensive ( i dont mean on initial release, i mean now a days) . Ive seen an auction end on ebay for this statue ending at 1,150??? why so much, i have a bigger even more limited ryu statue ( sota limited to 200 with leds) and its worth 300 atmost

@ejip84 This is more expensive on Ebay because of the sculptor Jerry Macaluso, he made these look just like Ryu should. SOTA's work is alright compared to Jerry Macaluso and John Cleary sculptures from Pop Culture Shock. PLUS some people have already ruined their statues either chipped, cracked, discolored and even broken their copy, so now they are rare that in fact people spend over a grand on this statue.

hey, thanks for replying and explaining things..it def is a more detailed statue..what are your thoughts on the sota ryu? i dont own it yet, but i did order it and waiting for delivery . also any advice on keeping statues from fading/discoloration , i have a witchblade pvc statue that is starting to fade..its in a showcase but out of any sharp lights..

For the discolored statues, I've seen people clear coat their statue and even try to paint it, but I don't recommend this unless you know how to do a detailed paint job. I guess the only way to keep it from fading is to put it back in it's package and try to sell it and replace with a newer one.

@SSF4ftw I play on all systems LIVE or PS3 and even Wii actually my son plays the Wii still a cool system, anyways I've been too lazy to even play anything at the moment. It's still the SHIT man and it's smells like it too. =) Street Fighter made a big impact in my life all I did was eat,shit and No sleep with Street Fighter it got so bad parentshad to buy me a TV to keep them from hearing HADOUKEN&SHORYUKEN every god damn day of their lives lol. My mom&dad used to go crazy when they heard me say Hadouken at the dinner table I would get grounded no SF and no TV for a week. My wife thinks it's funny.

Those marks on Akuma come of quite easily you know. And some of the Akuma's actually come boxed with plastic wrapping around the beads to prevent any marks. Dude you can't miss out on akuma! I just found one on ebay and grabbed it straight away! :)
