Yeah it's expensive but like a lot of "security" measures, the big price tag is just there to make the product feel "legitimate", if something goes wrong a corporation will be able to say "but we spent thousands on disposal by security experts" and they're off the hook.

You just need a Hammer and Hammer action Drill. That would do the same and cost you a lots less. Ok it may take longer tho.
