The brake-line fittings that came with the kit were absolute crap. They were not at all made correctly, and I had brake fluid leaking everywhere (from the proportioning valve). I tightened the fittings up some more (my idiot mistake) and stripped the threads from the proportioning valve. A new one cost me quite a lot. Again, THAT was my fault, but if you buy this kit, go to Meineke and have them make you new fittings.
Is that so? I wanted to buy the SLP kit for the no-hassle installation. Making new brake lines with new fittings is no problem for me, I'm a mecanic. However I was looking at the SLP kit because I didn't really want to have to make them. Guess I'll just buy the 50$ B&M solenoid and make the lines myself. Thx for the info.
You had trouble installing your SLP line lock? What kind of trouble, cuz I was thinking of buying one...
