Good job, but the only thing you need to work on is, cleaning up your picking, (if you know what i mean) and use down AND UP strokes. on that first part u didnt use any up strokes. Just thought I would try to help and give some pointers.

Well the A-style body which is what's in the video is what is typical for most irish/italian mandolin, but for bluegrass the Gibson F-5 style (the kind you see with the spiral at the top corner) is preferred.

But you can also have either oval or F-holes. F-holes are what you see in this video, similer to what's on a violin. I always thought that F-holes give a richer sound but if you're in a large band (a la "The Pogues") the Oval holes will give you a louder sound and let you be heard.
