I was there! (12th row) And it was perfect weather for an Irish band...last week of school of my junior year in HS. A magical evening! Saw them free the next night in Boulder.
The great thing about being a U2 fan at 20 years of age is that hearing songs like this is like hearing a song from a new album, absolutely love them, even better being Irish and a U2 fan.. they truly put us on the map, better than the Beatles imo1!
I was 11 years old when I found my uncles U2 album (Unforgettable Fire) and played it on my brand new cassette walkman I'd just got for christmas!! I am now 37. Still in love with them as much now. What a great find! XXX
I used to be a big fan of U2 until I saw them in the late 90s. Bono talked about aparthied, Nelson Mandela, war, hunger etc. I'm like, dude just play the fuckin music!
An Cat Dubh is one of my favourites, Red Rocks... what a concert, one of the best in the history of rock to be there must have been magic, the setting the rain the atmosphere the burning fires the energy, something special.
@paddy9i99 Spoken clearly by someone who hasn't a clue....sycophantic idiots, just wondering what these lovely fans ever did to you? And what's worse than being a sycophantic idiot? I think someone who publicly attempts to defame someone without (obviously) getting their shit straight. Bono has a lot less time to count our money in between philanthropic activities than say....well, any other rock star I can think of. You don't have to like them but you don't have to be insulting either. Grow up.

wish bono could still move like this. seems to be one fat slothy cat these days. cant make it thru a song w/o a nap on stage. his fans are the best tho they will carry him to the end.
I couldn't agreed more!!! Long live the "true" U2!!!. Always think why I love this band the way I do, but I have no disc of the last 8/10 years... This only happens to me with this band!!
I love this all so much I wish I could turn back the hands of time so I could re-do my life and I wish I were Bono's wife, it makes me sad to think that I could have a man like that.
I'm only 23, I hope it's gonna be a long long time away, but I've already arranged for this to be played at my funeral. If I had €1 for every time I listened to this song I'd be a multi millionaire!!!

What?!!! U2 are an amazing band, but Adam Clayton being amazing? I think that was the last time he tried at all. "Ah, what's the point? It seemed like awful hard work to keep in time like that. I'll just play with a plectrum from now on. They pay me just the same. I'll get to buy me own plane & date supermodels without having to put any of that there effort bollocks into it."
one of the best songs from the show, but sadly not on the movie nor Cd Live at Red Rocks. I have the Blood Red Sky concertt on vhs, but ccan't find it on DVD either.

Great video clip; Live at Red Rocks was one of their best live albums; it's cool when Bono yells out "rise up!" and the crowd goes nuts.
