No sticking I think the seat was miss matched at install. The head I had been running had the first shot at the oversized valve as to not ruin the dremel hours in this one porting. The wear it had on that head's seat was still there when the novice (student) at pro shop swapped it into the new head without lapping it to match the seat I had lapped. It had ridges that stood proud or the angle was off. I told them to lap the valves but maybe that was not in his vocab. Stuff happens,
Weld a piece of small angle iron on the long side of the bar to keep it from bending too . :) Good job !

Get a Mikuni carb for it. The Amals were called controlled leakers. Sudco.com
