WOW...im jelous...im only 12 and i LOVE fly fishing. the biggest one i ever landed was 25 inchess long and 4and a half pounds. nce video me and my dad will have to try that baseball sometimes!
Hey that is some nice fishing you guys are doing there! I was just wondering what kind of tippet you were using, i heard u mention it in the video. I'm looking for some good reliable tippet, been using Rio powerflew which has been pretty good but on a run of river i lost about 8 or 9 strong rainbows from breaking off! Your reply would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and i bid you good fishing!
We use Rio Super FloroFlex Tippet. It is unbreakable. You can not break a fish off on this tippet. The fly will come out off the fishes mouth before the line gives!
@letmrun you've obviously never fished the bow before, these will break anything, and have an uncanny ability to shake a fly when they jump 3' outta the water
I can't believe how disrespectful you guys are to the fish when you horse them in and allow them to bash their heads on the side of the boat!!!!! Are you not guides?? Outdoorsmen?? What ever happened to ethics?? What happened to conservation?? You might as well carry a fish bonker wioth you and smash the fish you bring in and throw them on the bank!!! Thank god nobody does that on the bow river!!!!!
@ktang1286 Try Maxima in 8 lb test.for streamers, very tough stuff. You won't be disappointed ! But the key is set your drag properly and let em run. They'll come in when they are tired.
Plus, the weather is still pretty chilly, and the fish are not being played for a long time. They are fine to swim right off the bat... Although I don't neccesarily agree with just dropping them in the water, they will be just fine.
What freakin slob fisherman. catching a bunch of dinks. They handle fish like a chunk of wood. Not wetting their hand first before handling the fish. Removes all the protective slime form the fishes body. Then they toss the fish over the boat like an empty beer can. Not making sure the fish the fish is in condition to swim off. People like this should be kicked off the river.

@letmrun
You'll break it here on the Upper Delaware. LMK when you hook a 35in Monster with a Sage baseball bat.

Plus, sometimes the smack of the water helps the fish come out of shock.

When you bring fish in quick using heavy tippet, they don't need revived. Thanks for the intelligent and anonymous comments.

@Bozonez3m Agreed. That is disgusting to watch. Unfortunately, newer fishermen/women will see this and think it's appropriate.
