Roy sang some of my favourite songs ever. This of course plus Crying, It's Over and Only the Lonely. These songs show of his greatest talent, the ability to make you feel. Everyone of his songs were thought evoking, he made you feel as if he was singing from personal experience.
I had this tape when it first came out. Ironically the same year I broke up with the girl I thought I would marry after I was delivered from alcohol. still brings a tear to my eye.

This song, even re-recorded and updated, could never be a hit on radio today. It speaks truth about relationships that nobody seems to want to hear in the age of the "Bad Romance."
Roy always had a way with bittersweet truth. He sang the most beautiful, heartrending songs, and he sang them more beautifully than most mortals dare to dream.
I dearly wish so many of his best years had not been lost in obscurity---and that we had not lost him so soon. He's a true Forever Legend.
I think your lyrics are iffy at best. No offense. If you listen closely to what he's saying you'll notice some discrepancies with what you wrote.
