There were approximately 500,000 in 1948. Quit inflating the numbers.
Furthermore, Arabs were not pushed out. They were encouraged to leave by their leadership at the time.

There are now 4.25 Palestinian Refugees registered with the UN. Many live in refugee camps in the Gaza Strip, Jordan, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria.
Those numbers are not inflated. They are official UN figures.

WP is not technically considered a chemical weapon, however, the general principles of the Forth Geneva Convention require 'proportionality' in terms of combat. You cannot use a nuclear bomb, for instance, against somebody who threw a stone at you.
For Israel to use WP in one of the most densely populated areas in the world is not proportional to the threat they face and clearly WP is indiscriminate, it kills UN staff and civilians, and burns down warehouses as well as killing Hamas soldiers.

Why get annoyed? I'm relating facts to you. The Geneva Convention is generally recognised as binding international law, if the State of Israel should not abide by international law, then what other states can ignore the law and where would it end up?
It is well documented that Israel only came into being because the UN "awarded" some land that did not belong to the UN. It is also well documented that Israel broke the last ceasefire and so is in fact the attacking country.

I've already said that I'm happy for both Hamas and the State of Israel to face independent investigations into alleged war crimes. If Israel has committed no crime, what is there to lose? And if Hamas are war criminals, then that will be addressed also.

What does it matter to you about Article 35 anyway? Apparently the Geneva Convention doesn't apply to Israel! So why discuss Article 35 unless you admit that Israel has a duty under Article 35?
Perhaps it is because you know that the Geneva Convention does apply to Israel and that IDF soldiers on the ground should not stop the Red Cross from getting to a house that the IDF bombed 3 days ago and which now contains starving children who are forced to sit in a room with their dead parents?

Geneva Conventions are treaties on the rules of war. Nothing more. Since Hamas is not a signatory to the Geneva conventions there is no binding treaty.
Therefore, Israel does not need to abide by them. Furthermore, The Geneva convention deals with POWs and occupied noncombatants. Israel has not taken any POWs that I am aware of. But even if they have, they treat them much better than Hamas treats POWs. Your argument is shallow.

Both Palestine and Israel are signatories to the Forth Geneva Convention, which is of course what I'm referring to. Even if Palestine was not a signatory, Israel still is and should act within the law.
Whilst the Third Geneva Convention relates to treatment of POWs, the Fourth Geneva Convention relates to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.
I invite anybody reading this to verify my argument for themselves and to reach their own conclusions.

Also, for the third time, I reiterate, I would support independent investigations of both the State of Israel and Hamas with regards to alleged war crimes. I'm not saying that Hamas is an innocent party, but in the case of the last ceasefire at least, Hamas was retaliating against an Israeli incursion into Gaza as well as Israeli refusal to fully open the border crossings from Gaza to Egypt and Israel which broke the ceasfire terms.

I doubt that Hamas is a signatory to the Geneva convention, but it is generally accepted as international law and I would not criticise any investigation into an alleged Hamas war crimes if the UN were also to investigate alleged war crimes of the state of Israel. That is fair, is it not?
By saying that war is "always disproportional" do you mean to say that it is fair to target civilians (including women and children) and other non-combatants such as the Red Cross or UN workers?

What you are comparing to is totally different.
The said terrorists u are referring to in Iraq are pockets of rebel resistance in Iraq. Whereas Israel's bombing is done by the government. Secondly, the bombing in Iraq had no supporters. If it did, they were mostly political rebel supporters. Israel on the other hand, has supporters all over the world EVEN after the bombing of the UN headquarters.
