  • YUP

  • "And with the quickness it was over."

  • george waving his freak flag high on here, eddie hazel hums onn here, classic wicked beat. love early funkadelic myself

  • The album is so raw!! It's almost like they just recorded all thier jam sessions from somebody's garage. This is still way better than any band can do these days.

  • One dislike? someone didn't get shot with the bop gun. Their mind has not been freed.

  • I think I just got my funky mind blown.

  • this is an acid trip set to music!!! LOL!! luv it tho'

  • Wow!! I just experienced an awesome Eargasm!!!

  • This song is the pinnacle of sex

  • Pure fucking genius

  • FUNKY MUSIC ......

  • NASTY!?! I didn't make the rules.

  • Jacket art fits on this sound so much.

  • @soulpeanuts888 Word. Funky but at the same time very psychedelic. hmm... Funk-adelic. O.O haha

  • Mommy, What's a Funkadelic? - Funkadelic [Plainfield, New Jersey] - 1970 - "AMG pick. One of their BEST. References to Jimi Hendrix lyrics. Outstanding vocals and guitar HOOKS. Furthermore, Clinton's half-quirky, half-trippy ad libs during "Mommy, What's a Funkadelic?" and "What Is Soul" can be mistaken for no one else." - Motor City Madness: The Ultimate Funkadelic Westbound Compilation (Disc 2)-2005.

NOTE: Funkadelic was an African American music band most prominent during the 1970s.

  • If you will suck my soul...I will lick your funky emotions - dammit...how could you NOT want to get freaky with a woman after hearing that??

  • osama got shot with the bob gun

  • @the00riddler Ain't that somethin'...this is TOO DAMN FUNKY TO NOT LIKE!!! LOL...

  • Who the FUNK didn't apreciate this song?

  • all I can say is-W0W!

  • Thank you for al these great songs!

  • I love early Funkadelic.

Jimi Hendrix was meant for this band

Imagine a line up with Jimi, Eddie and young Michael ....Then some space bass from the one and only Bootzilla.

Pretty sure heads would explode, Agreed?

  • @Voodoo66Chile there'd be massive orgasms worldwide

  • @Voodoo66Chile Hey! what about the muti-dimensional keyboard work of Bernie?! ;D

  • @Voodoo66Chile When i first heard this guy sing i honestly thought it was jimi hendrix. dont get me wrong i can definantly tell the difference now. but his lyrics and style were so similar. Bottom line jimi would have killed this track.

  • @Voodoo66Chile Hell ya man heads would explode! Sheer Funk with psychdelic rock. What more could you ask for?!

  • @Voodoo66Chile My God man...talk about a Nuclear explosion bro....May God have them jamming in Heaven right now and may God strike to death the owners of the Music industry...those fucking Jews who have destroy the Art and music of the Black race in the world...

  • @InfoRoom spread sum funk in saudi arabia and the vatikan at the same time

  • @Voodoo66Chile No, THIS is the true pure lineup. With Tawl Ross and Billy "Bass" Nelson.

  • Is Eddie Hazel on this?

  • Uf que buena imágen. me gusta el efecto de las voces y el sonidito del comienzo jaja parece como bichos entre crispeta

  • @psychOroach ¿Conoces más temas de Funkadelic/P-Funk?

  • AfunkingMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can I hit the like button 20x!? One of my top 3 fav bands!

  • That's a trippy ass album cover.

  • Funkadelicious

  • This only happens once in history. Napoleon would recruit them as the marching band if they existed in his time.

  • @crowman131 most well said!! Legendary!!

  • mind-melting music bows down to this

  • Who the one goon that doesn't like this MASTA'PEACE???

  • im groovin out in the womb to this track!

  • sexy ass psychedelic sound!

  • @lionellogan I prefer the early Funkadelic stuff to any of the other parliament/ P Funk and Funkadelic stuff. You feel the LSD dripping out of the speakers on these LP s from 69-73.

  • @taariqtaariq : Heavy

  • @taariqtaariq This stuff is the best, but my favorite is still Standing. eddie's work on that album was unbelivable! But this is definetly more funkADELIC and less FUNKadelic

  • black people make one of the best genres ever like hendrix!!

  • FUCK OFF

  • an album this gritty and funky, could only have come out of one place...detroit, home base of the 1960s counter-counterculture. mixing gospel and blues with acid rock and detroit rock with unique sound production, funkadelic channeled the cosmos.

  • @maggotronix P funk were from Plainfield New Joisey.

  • Comment removed

  • @taariqtaariq a good number of them were, but they found the funkadelic sound in detroit

  • WTF?!!@7:40-7:50 is he singing or havin' a heroine withdrawal fit? that part f- - - me up everytime!!

  • funkadelic is a fuckin délice

  • there was never a group like P-FUNK, AND NEVER WILL BE!!...I BET CHA'

  • These guys were so far ahead of their time...they created their own black hole in their wake.

  • oh lord of funk. please extinguish the gross and foul beast that is called RnB/mainstream music out of body and mind.

  • od tego właśnie numeru zaczęła się moja miłość do szeroko pojętego funku, wtedy jeszcze na winylach u taty ;)

  • i used to use the cd case as skinning up board in days gone by. great music.

  • I have never heard anything more original than this! 40 years later it sounds like anything else!

  • man, this shit is one serious fuckin trip, like being sucked into the vortex of one fucked up mind (fucked up in a good way).

  • I found this on vinyl in my grandma's basement. So glad I'm the proud owner of it! :D

  • Killer album !!! Just imagine if John Lee Hooker was singing with George on this cut ...... 2 fuckin heavy !

  • I was 12 when this came out. My sister brought this home and my life has not been the same since. I'm now 53 and still enjoy this classic. Thanks for posting this. This is some true deep raw uncut funk.

  • I owed this album when I was like 11 - 12 yrs old back in 1968-69. I believe I still have it packed away. Pure and Raw, never goes out of style.....

  • Reminds me of Big Mello - Bone Hard Niggaz. Great song ;)

  • @sajsakd You gotta be from H-Town, Bro !

  • Comment removed

  • @GOGETHAR5 I know what song you're talk'n bout.

It's called 2 To Tha Head.

  • This is what Funky / Soul music should sound like!! Tiki Fulwood was a monster on drums. Also check out Good Ol' Music.

  • this proves that funkadelic is better then The Parliement

  • @skizmsucks23 One and the same Slick !!!!

  • @nasty704 not really

  • funk brothers was the backing band in this this tune just puts norman whitfield's psychedelic sessions with the temps to shame plus the funk brothers sounded more like funkadelic with george than they did with norman who was copying the funkadelic shit.

  • LOL!!! i will plead the fifth and never say what was being done while this album was being played. top sekrit.

Props to you! I had 17 last week :)

    Funkadelic is something!

  • @ChillC im 19 years and and january 2010 parlament-funkadelic discovered me

  • @ChillC

I had the same experience when I saw the P-Funk Allstars live in Australia in 2003. I had never heard of them or George Clinton, scored free tickets and, as a result, my mind hasn't been the same since. Truly amazing night-also saw "Donnie Darko" for the first time that night before the gig!!!

  • @ChillC I can dig it...LOL!!! Welcome...'n MAY THE FUNK BE UR GUIDELIGHT TO THE TRUTH U SEEK, BABY!!! LOL...

  • @ChillC I got turned on to the Funkadelic's in the summer of '76 and my life hasn't been the same since.

  • i was an 18-yr old white girl from the suburbs when i first saw a funkadelic concert (1968) months before this was released. can you imagine what it was like? All this and Eddie Hazel too!

I have never been the same. God Bless the original Funkadelic, my all-time favorite band!

RIP Eddie Hazel, and much love to this day.

  • I envy you so much

  • you're lucky. I wish I was there then

  • i wish everyone could have been there to see the beginnings of what woud become p-funk. they were so original and raw. a totally new sound. it was fun to watch them grow.

back then, their concerts would last 3-5 hours; mostly just jamming on stage. it's too bad we can't download memories from our brains on to video.

  • i remember kool g rap used this beat.

  • i love the chili peppers little version and this si great!

  • I first heard this song in Bangor Maine back in 1971. Even today, it sounds so good that it will make you all want to suck your girlfriend, or boyfriends daddys peeder! :-) fly on!

  • fkin unbelievable

  • if you will suck my soul,

i will lick your funky emotions

  • @Thitoss SO DEEP !!!!!!!!

  • @Thitoss

    Oh jeah...

  • Thank you for posting this song....brings back memories. Im a die hard Pfunk fan from all the way back in the beginning in Plfd, NJ....Fly on baby!

  • This opened the first P-Funk set I ever saw, back at Florida Music Harvest in 1998. it was probably upwards of 20 minutes long, just getting the groove laid out.

  • I was stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson AZ when this came out.

For better or worse, most of the time worse, this was my entire rap. I had this song memorized and any new honey that I met was introudced to it.

My name is funky! I'm not of yo...ur world baby. Hold still! I won't do you no harm baby. I might even be good to you. :-0
