I have a Mini Cooper S John Works 2004 plate one. Its faster than the new one as the tuning kit is 210bhp on the older ones and only 197bhp on the new ones.

Shame they ditched the supercharger!

@Chingonshushu the mini might be faster, but the Clio Renaultsport is the true hot hatch. Mini has grown up way too much. I mean Mini Cooper S is still an amazing car.

@minibus1351 Mini is not only faster but more fun, comfortable and has a better brand image then a renault. oh may I also say it handles twice as better then the clio or any french small hatch. p.s I actaully drove 5 different hot hatches before buying my JCW Mini, and damn it so hard to choose another car over it, props a V8 might be the only option up lol. (btw i didnt say the cilo is a bad car just aint good enough compared to the Mini)

@lfclikewalfc well if your comparing stock then the Mini is still miles better then the clio the clio dosnt even have air con, its all bac to basc's unlike the Mini which you can use everyday and dosnt have hardcore suspension that breaks your back...you cant beat that quality of a BMW built and the fun drive factor with everyday usage of the Mini, simple fact which every good driver states. Mini is the leading small hot hatch of its class!

@Airox2009 If you want to break your back yeah it is lool, but if your looking for comfort and excellent handling then your answer is the JCWs, and the realibility problem issue is not a problem unlike the french.(renault) . I mean why would a Clio 197 2007 REG cost around 8-9 thousand while a JCWs 2004 REG costs the same.....??? anyway check vidoes of JCW taking on m5's and 911's then you'll understand.

I`m not saying that Renault`s perfect in terms of reliability. Minis score quite bad too in the german reliability statistics though. The nice thing about the Mini is large quantity of tuning parts. I`d say that the Clio RS and Mini JCW are the best compact hot hatches at the moment

is not the Mini Cooper S JCW, is the Cooper S kit works by 190 horses! The Mini Cooper S JCW has a total of 211 hp, and certainly does not beat that tub of Renault! The Mini Cooper S JCW 211 bhp from the real one travels on the track as an Audi TT TFSI 20 .. is unrivaled in class!

true the clio did perform best - cornered well, barely under/over steers. however, can i point out that the cup clio they used is like a track-focused car, striped dash, no air conditioning, reduced weight. as compared to the fully loaded mini jcw, the clio is just marginally quicker by a second or two. so i say that of the two - the mini wins because not only is it a fun drive but comfortable enough for everyday commute.

Esta versão não é a normal.

É o clio rs cup e não o clio rs, mas mesmo assim não chega aos 200cv, fica-se pelos 180cv, eles bem gostavam de ter 200, mas nem com versões especiais lá chegam.

Para isso é necessário saber fazer bons motores, como os v-tec, mas nesse aspecto só mesmo a honda meus lindos.
