Having discovered this game, a friend of mine also got into it. He's the big guy type too, strong muscles and all, and we both got into this sort of semi-competition of who could get through the game faster. But neither of us speedran through it, we both took our times to enjoy it.
SH:C's opening was like an euphoric orgasm, and the ending that we saw together was simply... Simply beautiful.
And because you play the first and then the second and then the first you change everything that happened and the second wouldnt ever have existed i really love that effect thats why i can stand playing the third just because i can look for the changes, like say LENNY that is big change, in the third he was a gentleman and it is hinted he never did anything wrong in his life, and that is one of the changes that would happen should you get good ending in the first thats awesome you know

If I remember correctly that the malice that was released in SH2 caused (I'm not sure about this part) the accident, or gave the main character and his sister the powers that they have. So if you say that SH3 is a continuation of the good ending of 1 and that SH2 never took place then (SPOILERS after!!) who unleashed the malice? Plus how Yuri's mom come to be? She would still exist at that time even though you got the good ending for SH1.
Not everything can be answered, it is believed that Yuris mom was an imagination of his own mind, she wouldnt actually exist should the second exist, but these are secrets they hold up very good, oh and as SH3 happens over a lot of years it doesnt have to be an contiunium of SH1, but the whole idea was to erase the second story, thats why there is two endings in the first game and two endings in the second, you gotta figure this out and ponder a lot upon the questions and even then it is hard...

i second that, i only played the story because of the small changes that would happen to the story, because as we know Shadow Hearts was meant to be played twice first Shadow Hearts and then Shadow Hearts 2 and then Shadow Hearts and then Shadow Hearts 3 because as many probalbly know by now shadow hearts had to endings and the first playthrough of Shadow Hearts would problalby get you the bad ending which was meant and then second playthrough would give you good ending, so thats the only reason

When I passed this game I loved the Ending Song to it, getsurenka, but I wanted to cry, because I love that game so much I felt bad that I passed it and that was the end.
I've always loved the video, the vocal, the violin solo (which I've played a few times before...scary), and..the overall feel of it. It keeps the serious tone all the SH games have.
The possibility of a 4 game is of course not something that wouldnt happen, but if they had to make a fourth story it would be a little hard in the sense they had to make everything fit perfect with the game, remember the reason that no one in SH3 mentioned about Yuri is because everything from the end of SH did not happen, that means that Yuri never met lenny, Jochiam and some others.
It would be hard fitting everything together without touching a nerve string, so i dont believe a 4 will come..

This music is excellent. Shadow Hearts: Covenant's endings killed the series. Both of the endings were horrible. The "good' ending was even worse. They were forced to make SH3 a spin off instead of a sequel because of the endings of Shadow Hearts Covenant.
I dont understand what you mean...the ending was only reflecting Yuri's fate. The only way for him to preserve his memories was to die, whereas in the "bad ending" he loses his memories and becomes somewhat of a shade. I bet they could have made a sequeal to SH2 instead of a spin off if they made a different plot. Oh well, i think they should make a SH4 and go back to Yuri and everyone.
but dude... in the good ending doesnt he go back in time? and then he hears the train in the distance n he is right back at the place were he started off?
well maybe not a sequel...they could always make a new story with Yuri and Alice together (at last) and they start a new journey together...I just hate how they COMPLETELY screwed up in the third sequel. I woud've rather them not made a third one cause the hero in the story is a wuss and girl who can fuse is completely irrelevant.
This game has the most annoying ending that i ever ever played in my whole life... U guys knows, how Karin bcm Yuri mother >_<
