Great flying man. I started flying with helis about 1/2 a year ago, and I have an Align Trex 600 Nitro that I am quite comfortable doing some 3D tricks with. I wanted to get into planes, and I just bought the same (almost new) 70 " Revolver with a DLE 20 cc engine from a friend of mine. I know it is not a beginner's plane, but I am really looking forward to flying her after spending lots of hours behind the sim and having an instructor with me for the first few flights. Regards from Dubai! :-)
I have one 59" with an OS 704S and it moves! It's also VERY sensitive to the controls. I have my "dual throw rate" set on the lower setting for now, as I'm still shell-shocked from crashing this two months ago. Was a MAJOR rebuild. But the plane does not like to go slow - have stalled it on approach before - so you need to maintain some speed on landing. But LOVE this plane. It's one of the best looking out there, IMHO.
hello, im very interested in one of these also, was wondering if i use a 46ax, do you think i could use a standed muffler or should i get a pitts? and how does it go in wind?
Very easy and precise, the only problem is with the landing. Lots of ground effect and the plane doesn't want to slow down easy, so you have to be pretty good... I reccommend using 6 chanel radio to use flaperon to have some flaps during landing. Also a defect of this plane is the gears that are very fragile, I reccommend during building to reinforce the base of the gears. Enjoy, I crasjed it once, and I got a new one... My favorite plane so far...
it doesn't like to turn with mixed in rudder either does it? for example, the Katana will make good mixed rudder/aileron turns, but this plane tends to drop the nose if you try a rudder turn without a ton of counter aileron. Are you going to buy the new larger one? It looks like it will be easier to land. Maybe they could make one with a little thicker wing in the future. That's why it won't slow down and float obviously, but that's also why it will fly faster than probably any other prop plane.
beautiful landings, great job

how long did it take you to build the revolver?
s8er95 2 years ago
don't remember the servos.. I think Futaba, it's a great plane to fly and very easy to build, took me about 20 hours.
